Lets hope Kevin Cash has a stroke and pulls his pitcher after 3 innings.

You do realize there’s a slight difference in the pitchers available to the two managers

There's no way...IMO...he can keep him and sign AP. Just doesn't work for the bottom 6.

Nylander and Dermott, and the very least have to go.

Johnsson next.

Andersen if needed after that.

And Kerfoot last....we need a decent 3C and if we can't replace him with something better, we have to keep him.

That's why I'm still sticking to 2RD....Gudas, Manson would be better than AP to me.

Trade Willy for Manson+ (maybe a gritty winger).

Rielly, Manson
Muzzin, Virtanen
Sandin, Gudas
Holl

That would be MUCH better than last season. Plus, we'd have some money for a Maroon or Simmonds to toughen up the rest of the line up.

Manson had 9 points in 50 games last season.

So much for saving the ace for game 2.
Ryu has giving up 6 hits already
3-0 Tampa.

I really do. It probably means moving out a big piece like Nylander, but it can (and should) definitely be done.

Hopefully its not.

But we'll see.

Still a chance to recover.

Offense needs to get going to at least have a chance.

Ryu is getting lit up.

But yes, still early.
this team can and has put up a lot of runs in single innings.

Ya. But he could still recover (If given the chance).

I don't know how long his leash will be. If they let Ryu continue to struggle past the 2nd inning after they pulled Shoemaker after the 3rd yesterday...

Bichette with another error

bases loaded.

Jesus

Edit: Instead of getting out of the inning Bichette's error loads bases and Ryu just gave up a grand slam.

They are done.

Ya - Teammates need to pick up the pitcher there when he is struggling. Can't make that error.

Id rather move out and make more changes

Hyman - Matthews - Marner
Robertson - Tavares - Barbanov
Mikheyev - Thornton - Ryan
Rodrigues - Spezza - Engvall

Add in some experience and just do 1yr cheaper deals for Thornton and Ryan

Teilly - Pietro
Muzzin - Holl
Sandin - Gudas
Use Marincrap to sit in the press box

I'd like this to serve as textbook evidence as to why I'm so hesitant to sign AP.

We lose Nylander, our second line has a rookie and an international signing who hasn't played a game in the NHL. The bottom six is really at minimum 80% fringe nhlers and total has beens.

All to roll out a blueline that has AP, Gudas... Holl still in the top 4, and a 20 year old with 30 or so career games.

Pietrangelo doesn't save this lineup from getting killed by playing 25 minutes a night, the team is pot committed on the cap and his contract will hit a point of regression.

This is a disaster. 🤦‍♂️

Team is still primarily a bunch of kids. They weren't suppose to be here and it's showing. 162 game season and they likely wouldn't have made it. This experience though will be a good learning curve for the future.
This young Jays club has a bright future but they do need some quality arms.
