If you could trade him and be able to get an Eichel, for example...do you do it? |

Nothing against Eichel, but I think it (frank)s up what the Rangers have been building. imo |

I do think though, if the Rangers had known the world was going to change, and there'd be a flat cap of 81 million and nobody knows when it will go up again, and they'd known how good Fox was going to be, and how Tony D would take off, they wouldn't have given Trouba 8 million a year
nothing at all about what I think of him as a player, I think I like Trouba as much as anyone, but they better be very sure, long term, that they can handle having him as the highest paid defenseman on this team until 2026 - jimbro83
Trouba is a keeper, they overpaid slightly on the $$ because they thought the contract would look better when he was 30+ years old. To be frank, if they knew the world was going to change, they would have traded Kreider and never given him that extension... |

well and also been in a position to draft Lafreniere too
its very questionable whether or not they would have signed Kreider had they known what was coming

I am not 100%, but I think you are right.
Plus, the last 2 years of his contract have a modified NTC and his salary drops to $6M. So, that's a little cushion. |

I couldn't say either way. He's a top 15 center in the league, so it does make it enticing.

Kreider is going to piss me off if he plays his disappearing act after the extension. Dude has to show up every night if he wants to be a leader. |

if the Rangers could acquire Eichel in a package that includes Trouba, the 22nd, next year's first rounder and Kravstov
that's a deal I could get onboard with because it would say to me the right side of the blueline is going to be Fox, Tony D and Lundkvist moving forward and then they'd be very solid down the middle
problem is I don't think that's enough for Buffalo, I think they'd insist on one of the pieces I consider absolutely untouchable (Kakko, Shesty, Fox, LAF) |

What he would cost would screw the Rangers up. The way they came together after the mid point last year gave me a boner. Why I don't want to see any major changes. Want this young group to continue to grow together |

I think buffalo would want LAF ++ for Eichel.........personally, I wouldn't even trade LAF straight up for him. you already have Zibby, who I personally think is a better all around player right now....maybe a bit older, but Eichel isn't the guy i'd want to go "all in" for. he seems to be a really low character "all about me" type of player who would be an awful influence on all the young talent in that dressing room. not saying he isn't a great player, he definitely is, but to give up on LAF i'd want someone who was the whole package, and I don't think Eichel is |

the trade proposals I see from non Ranger fans are stunning
like the 1st overall pick and Kakko for Eichel, and people being serious that is what it would take

there were some pretty bad ones from Ranger fans too, especially when that rumour of a potential deal with Ottawa was floating.
I remember reading one that suggested LAF for picks 3, 5, and Tkachuk.........that might be worse than LAF and Kakko for Eichel. |

Unless you're in a car doing stupid poop it's never an accident.
What an inconvenience for everyone on the train too. Gotta sit around while they clean the person's bits up and "determine cause". |

I see 2 players that haven't been drafted yet and it's a bit surprising. If the Flyers end up with either of them like this mock I would be thrilled.

this really isn't a referendum on Trouba's play and what he can bring
his NMC kicks in on October 9th and he becomes immovable until 2026
every cool with that? yay or nay? - jimbro83
Not going to echo what everyone said, but I mostly agree. Picture this: 6'3" Trouba and 6'5" Miller as 1/3 of the d-corps. That's hulking |

do you guys remember a video that was released from FOX like 15 or 20 years ago, and it was all this crazy footage of horrible poop they couldn't show on TV....it was called "FOX's not for TV" or something like that.
there was a video of a woman crossing the train tracks at an actual crossing......there was a train stopped on the first track, so it was difficult to see what was coming on the other.......she tried to cross (the lights were flashing, I guess she tried to beat it) and a high speed train flew by (couldn't see it from behind the other train) and hit her........it was the most traumatizing thing I had ever seen. |
