Mikko Lehtonen with 3 goals and 6 points in 4 games so far.

No other team wanted him. Only reason the Leafs signed him.

“Best defenceman in Europe.”

*Leafs sign him*

“Small offensive defenceman who can’t play D and plays only on the left side.”

All music is subjective. The concept itself is silly.

There are elements of all art that are subjective. Technique and skill in playing an instrument, creating a painting or sculpture, writing meaningful lyrics have elements that can be judged reasonably to some extent. Problem is the bias the judge may have to some genres.

Analytics baby. 2 + 2 = Mozart.

Some people can assess and write about music intelligently, going beyond just I like this versus I don’t like that.

Anyway, getting into the HOF isn’t even about being good, it’s about contribution to the music. Sex Pistols May have been lousy at playing their instruments but made still made a significant contribution for popularizing punk.

Did you mention the latest induction to the HoF?

I think I read something about the "NY Times releasing 20 years of Tax Returns", the American punk band, being chosen for next induction night.

Well enough about music, did we sign AP yet?

More good news...

Interesting take from the former CHIEF SCIENCE OFFICER for Pfizer. Dr. Yeadon is an Allergy & Respiratory therapeutic area expert. He says the pandemic is over based on stats. He also says "that half or even "almost all" of tests for COVID are false positives."

AP's first choice is Vegas according to Friedman. I did a rough estimate on taxes using online calculators and the taxes on $9 millon salary worked out to about $1.2 Millon less in Nevada than Ontario. So if its about money only, Toronto will have difficulty competing. UG says hi.

I think bonus money is taxed less if he’s an American citizen playing in Canada.

Edit : I'm sure a good accountant and tax lawyer will get the taxes in Ontario down, doubt very much there won't be a significant advantage in Vegas at the end of the day.

I’m shocked at how uninformed this take is-
1. Players in Canada can set up a Retirement Compensation Agreement (RCA) and limit their tax liability to a flat 20%. With sound tax advisors, a NHL player can actually pay the same or less tax in Canada than he will Florida or Vegas.

If its only about money Vegas would have an advantage if they can make room for AP. Walsh is full of poop - an RCA is a tax deferment scheme which is much the same as an RRSP - only there is no limit. When you withdraw the money - you get taxed

He comes here if he’s willing to leave money on the table or if he would save $1M or so a year in babysitting costs by being close to his parents.

About right, honestly it would be a great signing, but I'm not holding my breath on this one. One factor that also has to be considered is that no sector of the economy has suffered more with the pandemic than travel and entertainment. The Vegas economy in general could be headed for a really rough ride.

Pfizer has a real hard on for good news because who can argue with the statement that the “pandemic is over based on stats.”
