i have mixed feeling on this...hey the Jays were able to have some success against TB...but also lost more games than they won...which is pretty much how you expect games agaisnt TB to go
score more runs, lose series - senstroll
They're also saying that Ryu might not go game 1, which is insane.
I'm glad they designated Font, though. He's useless. |

Ryu can start game 2, so the Jays will win game 2. |

I'd rather get out to a fast start and try to demoralize them in game 1.
Also, if they win the series against Tampa, he can start more games in the next series. |

In a 3 game series, there’s no chance he gets back into another game. He only doesn’t pitch game 1 if he’s not 100%. |

How do you feel about the Man Mountain, 2020 and beyond? Having second thoughts about AP at 31 on a ginormous deal. - gravyface
Weber is still ridiculously effective overall.
Obviously if he gets any slower, at some point he won't be able to play the 20+ minutes he is today, but I don't see his contract as a problem moving forward.
He's worth every penny right now, and will likely remain at worst an overpaid solid top 4 options in a few years.

Makes most sense- Ryu 1st, Walker 2nd, and Shoemaker 3rd.
But this manager is incredibly dumb, so who knows what he'll do. |

Do you realize that when it comes to obtaining essential drugs and vaccines that a good chunk of humans aren't surveying potential economic outcomes as part of that process?

No one is saying they shouldn't make a profit. They are buisnesses after all and their work can be beneficial to all.
But there's a difference between 0 margin and the ridiculous prices some are selling their products, taking advantage of the fact people need these to live.
They could just make alot of a money, instead of a poopload of money.
But I guess that's not how the world works, despite how crazy it sounds. |

Bill Gates pledged to donate most of his money during his lifetime to charitable causes, so there's an argument to be made that he's not in it for the money.
We can't judge his intentions because we don't know what they are. - TheMussel
Somebody questioned the projections on Covid because Gates donated money both to the Institute doing the projections and because his Foundation has donated close to $2B to vaccine development and distribution to poor countries.

Be great if it happens. Still like Ryu going game 1 most.
Sets up the rest of the playoffs the way it needs to be for them to succeed. |

Kind of hoping we get that out of AP. Smart, good hockey players find a way to remain effective 35+, as long as they have tools beyond speed (cough, Marleau).
I think AP has that, but I'm concerned that he's not the answer, but an answer nonetheless, mostly because of his usage over the last couple of years and how he's more Rielly than Muzzin and Paryako is the guy we really want (who's very likely untouchable). |
