I watched that game in the waiting room at the car dealer while my das was buying a brand new Chevelle Malibu. I remember each 2 doors of that car weighting probably 500 lbs each.

why am I not surprised

I had the same reaction as to how slow the game was compared to today.
Guys would get "in shape" a few weeks before the season instead of doing it all year round like today ... different times.

Another thing that has evolved considerably is the goaltending ... these old guys were all over the place.
