Thats what I was thinking. I'd be I retested in Kyle Turris if he gets bought out for 3rd line duty |

But yeah I think the league is starting to figure out that most goalies are about the same over the long haul. - dozerD10[/quote
Right John Gibson and Petr Mrazek same goalie.. give your head a shake partner.
What part of "Most" are you not getting? There are obvious exceptions. |

Kuemper to the Canes makes more sense I think. Reimer at 850k plus picks works for the Yotes and Kuemper's 4.5 AAV works for the Canes better than the Leafs.
The 500k savings isn't what KD is looking for unless the Yotes are willing to eat salary. - The Law
Not sure Canes want to pay more cash than cap hit. |

I wouldn't go after Turris, he's not really a grinder/checking C, he's not what is needed |

like a 1yr / $1M deal, yes - PatC80
There’s going to be a zillion deals. Teams are freaked because they don’t know when they’ll start to see new revenue.
RFAs won’t be qualified. Teams will wait on signing UFAs. I becoming more convinced not to go after the one guy that lots of teams will be bidding and look for deals.
I still think you can get someone good to play with Rielly for $5M and have money to scoop up players. Perry, Maroon, a hundred guys we’re not thinking of off the RFA list are going to be available. |

you might be right, there likely will be teams that panic and don't qualify RFA's. I do think Dubas should be patient..
Guys like Ryan, who might still be able to provide some offense would be nice to have on cheap deals.. If they Leafs do get Pietrangelo, they can move out a forward and still have depth |

Already did with Reimer. And they spent $4.25 million on a draft pick last season.
Somehow I don't think an extra mill is going to be the issue. |

It's an excellent deal for the Habs. Petry would have gotten way more as a UFA imo.
Very happy about this. Term isn't too long either. |

it's a terrible deal for the Habs for two reasons.
1: Spending a lot on goaltenders and defense means no money left for forwards.
2: I wanted the Leafs to get Petry, I guess now it's Pietrangelo as the only option. |

He's a huge upgrade over Kerfoot that's for sure and the leafs don't have a lot of cap space so, if you could get him for cheap it would be worth it(if he is bought out) |
