So who doesn’t want a raise. Poor poor argument. - Peter Richards
Elliott will want a raise but at the end of the day there are a ton of options this year via FA. Flyers have the leverage here. This is exactly what happened to Mason. He wanted a raise and the Flyers just replaced him with Elliott and he didnt end up getting signed until after the season started due to WPG injury issues at a much lower salary than PHI likely offered.
With the Flat cap for the next 3 years. It will be tough for him to land a job and expect a raise. |

Still wondering how they are acquiring Bozak. Obviously a trade, but what are we trading for him, with some resemblance of realsim? And do you think the Flyers would be on his list of 10 teams he would not accept a trade to? - jmatchett383

They can't be the backbone of the team like Paul Ranheim and Kent Mandervilel were. Manderville's 2 season scoring drought was a huge part of their success in the 90s. - jmatchett383
Please excuse my ignorance. I didn’t watch in the 90s. Is this a 4th line that drove offense for the team from the least minutes played by forward lines? If so, wow!

He's an option though. |

Does He fill a major hole by occupying the 3rd line center spot? yes or no? Does he improve the team and balance the lineup? yes or no?
Yes you said move 2 guys to center who the organization clearly has shown they don't want at center; you are a fn genius. - login
You didn’t answer his first question. What are you giving up to get bozak. What holes are created in filling a hole. |

No...but even as a 4th liner, you think you'd luck into a goal by accident as an everyday NHL player at some point during 115 consecutive games. |

Yes, he does.
Now how do the Flyers acquire him and remain cap compliant? - jmatchett383

He never answer mine so why bother.
He is unattainable. Not an option in any way. So what holes do you think would be created if they did acquire him? Me i don't see any that would be created
It is possible the blues would retain some no? Or is that outlandish? There are ways to cut cost in other areas; then again no team can find ways to make moves to clear cap space. I know what ways give an example right? Round and round. |

END OF DISCUSSION!
No, I was totally sarcastic. Guys like Ranheim and Manderville served a purpose in the 90s as 4th line "defensive/faceoff specialist" guys but, they could have been pretty easily replaced without changing much. No place in the game for guys like that (see: Gordon, Boyd). |

You have no issue with Grant as the 3rd line center you said. So forget anyone else just resign Grant. |

What answer/ You asked if he would fill the spot, and I said yes.
But my question was the bold. Since Bozak is not a FA, they have to trade assets for him. What are those assets? If they are roster players, then they will be creating holes on the roster. So what assets do you think the Flyers could realistically give to acquire Bozak without creating other holes? |

Where did I say I had no issue? I said he seemed like the best option as a UFAs. That doesn't mean I think he's a good option, just the best of a weak class (at a hit under $1.5M). |

I’m not even sure how to answer this with all the contradictions.
No holes will be created in trading for a player that is unattainable. Ways to cut cost without ways to do so. Interesting. |
