You know it is bad when I am starting to feel sorry for Dubas. Guy never gets a break. Kadri deal was naive, he flipped a character player for some figure skaters. Skill mixed with heart has always been the formula for a successful Stanley Cup run.

I don't think Dubas understands that hockey heart is measured in the heat of battle and the face of adversity. The Blue Jackets literally choked the life out of the Leafs and they had nothing to counter the blend of skill and muscle shown by Werenski and Jones.

Yes they were. Nilsson won a Cup with the '87 Oilers and Loob won a Cup with the '89 Flames. Must've been the sandpaper. 😉

Not sure how much his 17 games played that year added to their cup victory. But he was very skilled.

My bad, I looked it up and he did play 21 games in the playoffs that year. 19 points and Plus 6
