Until Lidstrom wins an Art Ross trophy, it's Orr.
It isn't even close, and that's not me showing old fart bias - I have foggy memories of Orr as a Blackhawk - none as a Bruin. - Atomic Wedgie
It isn't close. There wasn't and likely never will be an equal. Best defender, best skater, wicked shot and would regularly skate around an entire team and either score or have three guys on him and set up a tap in.

Take this story with a huge grain of salt, but I was once listening to the FAN590 (they were having this debate) and a guy phoned in - his story was that he once witnessed Orr (as an Oshawa General) lose his glove in the neutral zone while skating to break up the other team's rush. He stripped the other team of the puck, skated behind his own net, then skated through the entire team -PICKED UP HIS FRANKING GLOVE IN THE NEUTRAL ZONE WHILE STILL CARRYING THE PUCK - and then skated in and scored.
Best I've ever seen is Gretzky, with Lemieux a close second. Nobody else comes close.

That's (frank)ing legendary.
Lemieux is the greatest player I've seen play. Despite the injuries he just so much better than everyone else.
It's a shame both him and Orr couldn't stay healthy and make their career even more awesome.
Nylander will follow Ryan's footsteps: from 'promising young scoring first line winger' while playing with elite linemates to a cap burden soon to be bought out

how long does it take you to think of poop like this?

0.3 seconds - it's quite obvious.
Read back the opinions on Bobby Ryan in his last year with Anaheim and on how 'lots of teams supposedly were interested in him'.
(I think ek was pitching the Philly link, NJ was spoken of as well plus other teams.)
'Elite scoring winger' was used to describe him.
He's had some bad luck, but after Ana it was clear his previous success was mainly thanks to playing om a line with Getzlaf and Perry

Yeah, that makes sense.. I didn't take you for someone that actually thinks things through.

Hasn't played a game yet... - MaximusAurelius
Hard to play a game when you have died.
Twice.
I'm always puzzled by people like you - you made a stupid statement on an anonymous hockey website. You were proven to be an imbecile.
What is stopping you from admitting it and moving on?
FFS, I still tell the story about how I thought Mark Bell was the key to the Toskala trade. My ego isn't tied up in impressing a bunch of people I will never meet.
I was wrong about Mark Bell. I was wrong about Hutchinson. I was wrong more times than I was right. I'm big enough to laugh about it.
But sure, Muzzin will never play again.
When you find yourself in a hole, the first thing you should do is stop digging.

if you ignore the off ice stuff that probably contributed to his on ice decline....maybe Willie can avoid that
I heard he has slipped and I will now declare (without any evidence) that there is a 50/50 shot he never plays in the NHL ever again - best case scenario he is back in three months.
If anyone points out my clear bullsh!t, I will pivot to "he hasn't played a game yet". When he inevitably plays a game when the NHL starts up - I will claim I said he would be out at least 3 months - and therefore I was right.
