I'm not, but I love reading their loony poop. It's highly entertaining albeit cringeworthy a lot.

I never posted anything on there, but it can be quite entertaining when you're looking to kill some time.

It needs to be niche stuff. Big general subs are absolutely terrible and full of high school zoomers jerking each other off about how smart and edgy they are for having the world’s most bland opinions.

Nah even niche stuff it just becomes fan boy pissing contests on what’s the best of whatever and anything else is a waste of time and money.

For me it's like a form of people watching, but on the internet if that makes any sense.

Yeah I see some of the stuff from curator types but I never go to the source. I get the entertainment factor though.

That’s late stage when the zoomers flood in and circle jerk it. It’s the fundamental issue with the downvote button. People use it as an “I disagree” button instead of a troll button like you’re supposed to so everything but the majority opinion gets snuffed out, people who would have actually provided a contrarian opinion (frank) off because whats the point, and then you’re left with a bunch of 16 year olds talking about how a living room absolutely inundated with plants to the point that it’s basically a greenhouse needs even more plants.

Well if you ever decide to check out. I think the subreddit was called justneckbeardstuff. These guys are out of their minds and it's hilarious.

True enough. My main experience was with the pc hardware subreddit and it’s just a bunch of poopty opinions getting spread as fact.

Luckily the main niche community I frequent are the wet shaving subs, which skews older for obvious opinions.

The specific sub I was referencing was r/malelivingspace that I joined a while back to get some ideas on how people set up small-ish apartments and the posts were so cringy. Every (frank)ing post is “just moved into my first solo space after college. Am I doing it right?” And it’s just a bunch of ugly plants totally drowning the room because the sub has decided plants = good and these people don’t have enough brain cells to think for themselves and develop their own coherent styles.

As I said before we decided to keep our 1st round pick and give Minnesota ours next year... I think that will be the biggest error in Rutherford's tenure here.

And that is franking saying something.

Every day I log on Twitter, and other than the normal dumpster fire it is... I am just waiting for that Penguins notification that we made another trade.

Just when we thought we were rid of Schultz and his cap hit this season, freeing up some money... we decide to spend it on Matheson. I saw he plays the right side as well.... a Johnson-Matheson 3rd pairing will look good. especially for the $9M it will cost.

Also, I saw on Twitter that Ottawa is $22M below the cap floor. They have a few RFAs that will make up some of that. If you need a team to take a contract, they'd be the team... just a question of what their cheap owner is willing to pay and what asset(s) it would take to get some of these guys off of our roster.

Not meeting the cap floor doesn't actually have real repercussions. It just means they have to take the delta and distribute it across their existing payroll. So if a team is below the floor and they have all the players they want already, it doesn't make a huge difference to them if they acquire more contracts to meet the floor or if they just distribute the delta across their existing players' salaries. Either way they pay it.

That's all to say that a a team not meeting the cap floor isn't really extra incentive to take on Johnson's contract. We'd still need to entice them with assets like any other team in order to take Johnson. This team right now neither has the assets to make it worth while, or the desire to move Johnson who Rutherford by all accounts loves.

That’s with a 9 man roster lol. Nobody will have trouble getting to the cap floor. You will have to use assets to dump bad contracts.

Packaged with Murray, I could see them taking on JJ. They also have a bajillion draft picks.

Obviously JJ sucks but in the grand scheme, $3M is not a big commitment. I could see the reason for them to want Murray but they could even sign and trade Murray if they wanted.

Jim Rutherford just gave

a flat ‘No,’ when asked if Brian Dumoulin or Marcus Pettersson could be traded. Added, ‘if we had a game tonight,’ those two and Mike Matheson would start on left side. Sure sounds like Jack Johnson’s gone.

I'd really like to try that sous vide crow.

Of course you'd have to give up assets to move a bad contract... no one is saying otherwise.

I just came here to post that...

JJ either is gonna be moved or watch from the press box. Gave a definitive NO when asked about Dumo or Petts.

Totally non-committal about JJ having a spot.
