What I really dont get about this trade (and I dont get it at all) is why the Pens needed to take on Sceivor or whatever his name is?

This is what he does. He's really good at building from nothing, but he holds on to the same pieces for too long and once things start falling apart he tries to trade his way out of it with worse and worse pieces.

Same here. Horny was actually on a 27 goal, 24 assist pace this past season. I know scoring isn't the be all end all, but Horny's skill set is unique and valuable, regardless of how slow he might be now or how bad he is at controlled zone entries.

I think Sully really didn't like Horny because he didn't mesh with Sully's scheme. I think Sully is the problem.

I think in order to be successful with Sully's system, you have to have overwhelming talent, which the Pens had in 2016 and to a lesser extent in 2017. That's not the case anymore. Someone needs to give Sully (and JR) the memo that you can't win with this soft, perimeter approach.
