I think that's the real purpose if the NTC, just so you can't be sent somewhere crappy or if the timing sucks (wife 8 months pregnant or just had a kid or something) and you don't want to go on a permanent mid season road trip while you're family is still living in another city

Don't go to Camden County, stick with Gloucester. You'll actually have more than 1 square foot of undeveloped land, and you're still super close to the city.

Just with everything going I wanted to feel things out before I buy a home and renting in Philly vs. Camden for a year is a big difference price, but I'm in Monmouth county right now so I'm basically paying Philly prices lol. I get a lot more apartment for the money though.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Camden county I realized. Just with everything going I wanted to feel things out before I buy a home and renting in Philly vs. Camden for a year is a big difference price, but I'm in Monmouth county right now.

It seems like there's a mass exodus going on to the suburbs from Philly and NYC, so I'm watching to see what happens to the prices.

Well I really like Philly lol. When we first moved to NJ when I was kid we lived up in Bergen county, so I've thought about up there, but the prices that were already nuts are going through the roof since people are moving out of Manhattan and Brooklyn.

I don't have a specific urge to be down south. I was just going stay outside of Philly for a year before committing. I liked the idea of living 15 minutes outside. Who knows. With everything going on so many things are up in the air. Former colleagues are trying to get me back out to Vegas, but I highly doubt I go back.
