Yes, but you can scrape it off and put it on toast. It's quite delicious. |

Vegas would be infinitely better to just retain 50% and trade him
They're looking at dead money 2.31 Million x 4 years buyout vs 3.5 Million x 2 trade
They would find a taker for Flower at 2 years @ 3.5 easy - TheGame316

I though it's a flat cap for two years and then back to normal, or am I mistaken? - Rinosaur
back to normal might mean it drops, unfortunately. it's directly tied to revenue of the previous year, so if revenue goes down, the cap goes down. |

Normal meaning based on regular revenue calculations, which may be down after a 2 year economic depression |

Flat cap for 2 years and then based on HRR.
If there's no/limited gate/parking/concession due to no fans, what direction does the HRR go? |

Gotcha, well yeah, maybe not so great, but then again they have Weber's contract which is really going to hurt.

I mean, I'm hoping the 21/22 season will have fans back in the stands.

Yeah, but his beard is worth at least $3M regardless of the cap. |

He hasn't lost a step and once the cap starts going up in the last two years of his contract it won't look so bad. - Rinosaur

Yes, most likely. But maybe not at the same capacity. And with millions losing their jobs, that's a smaller pool of people who would buy tickets. Same with team merch, TV subscriptions, etc. |

if we get Bobby Ryan, we should petition to get Pierre McGuire back on the air to hear "Bobby Ryan from Cherry Hill New Jersey" 15 times a night. |

That's how it goes for most NTC/NMC unless the players make it known in advance they have no intention of ever moving (in which they just don't come up in trade discussions)
It's got to be awkward if the team asks you to waive and you block it. That's them pretty much telling you that you aren't in their plans and to expect less playing time, less PP time, and potentially healthy scratches
Doesn't bode well if you intend on getting another contract in the future

Super liberal, right up there with West Virginia and Texas. |

the complicated side of No Trade Clauses... its hard to stay when you know theyre trying to trade you. thats a poopty situation and i can see why players waive their no trade clauses if the destination is at least decent.

Exactly
Even if the economic recovery happens smoothly, this kinda thing tend to be a wakeup call for some and they squeeze their wallets a little tighter when it comes to $200 hockey tickets, $15 beers and $40 parking for a couple of hours of entertainment

I still love that you think I'm a liberal.
But no, I wanted to be closer to the beach for now until I decide where I want to buy.
