Let's say one of Dumo or Pettersson are most definitely getting moved. If an extension can be pre-negotiated, would you move either one to NJ for Palmieri +? Does it make sense for both teams? Only one team? No teams?

In a vacuum, I'd trade Pettersson for Palmieri. He'd be great for the PP and even though he's not really a need anymore after the Kapanen deal... giving McCann one of Kapanen/Rust/Palmieri might solve the 3rd line problem as well.

They would find a taker for Flower at 2 years @ 3.5 easy

The thing that concerns me most about dumping JJ off on another team is what Rutherford will give up to make it happen. He has a habit of trying to fix his mistakes by making other ones, ultimately compounding the first mistakes.

As far as I know he conquered the personal probs but I agree, cause for concern no matter what. Im in close proximity to some people I care about with addictions in my life and people can go clean for years then wham their back to the vices out of nowhere.
