That trade would be a massive W. This is coming from someone who wants to keep Boeser too.

Gaudette seems more like a winger to me anyway

His size hasn't filled out, but he can get there.

I would love to get McAvoy though. If it was something like Boeser + Gaud + JV for McAvoy + Debrusk, who would we find as a 3C replacement?

Would be okay with that if he signs like a 2 year deal for 3-4 mill. Can rejuvinate himself with the spectacular Ian Clark

Anyone pick up on the Bure quotes about BLM protests?

“If we talk about equality, one law should be interpreted equally for everyone. If something happens to a white person, it’s OK, but if he is black – it’s a big tragedy. All people should be treated equally,” Bure was quoted as saying by Sport-Express.

“I worked in America for more than 20 years playing with guys from different ethnic groups. My best friend was Gino Odjick, an American Indian who introduced me to his ethnic community.

"But native Indians are the most oppressed nation in North America. Donald Brashear, a black guy, was also my friend and there was no racism. What is happening now is outrageous hysteria, reverse racism. Why should anyone apologize?,” the ‘Russian Rocket’ added.

What will this do for his recognition?

Regardless of what side of the political fence you are on Bure is just stating what alot of people are thinking. There are arguments for both sides of the issue.

I do try to avoid commenting on political statements on a hockey blog, as a rule, but since this relates to a Canuck legend sharing his opinions...

If Bure’s comments are simply
* there should be one set of laws for everyone
* we should recognize that indigenous peoples in North America are discriminated against
...then it should be possible to agree with him regardless of your political affiliations.

The reality, in both the US and Canada, is that the laws that exist are NOT enforced the same for everyone, hence the widespread anger and demonstrations.

There is more to systemic discrimination than unequal law enforcement, as you know, though it is a major issue.

I'm trying as well out of respect for Carol and the thread...but it's tough some times with the massive one-sided agendas around here. Plus the refs allow certain posters to post whatever they want politically and such...and ban others immediately for one post that may go against the mandate and agendas. Sucks that it's a double standard in here but it's nice to poke the bear once in awhile and call them out...they sure don't like it lol
