A lesser known fact about Jeff Healey is that he was also a trad jazz trumpet player. That's actually where I saw him, with his jazz band in the basement bar on Front St. that was either attached to a restaurant called 'C'est What?' or was beside it. He played old swing jazz stuff from the 30's, Jelly Roll Morton tunes, early Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, etc. I love all that stuff. He never touched a guitar and you could tell he loved that music.
