That's why I suggested trading for Kuemper. I think he could win those big playoff games for the Leafs. - gergeswillems
Arizona should be ripe for the picking.. Dubas should be calling daily. |

It's tricky because teams that have a young Dman equivalent to Nylander in terms of hockey value probably aren't gonna trade that player in the first place. - Zezel
That's what I was telling Roeper. There's a limited amount of those guys available. If they're even available at all. |

Coyotes will have a fire sale. You're right. Dubas should be all over it like Roeper on Isles news. |

If they can pull that off I am all in on the Pietrangelo gamble. That's a lot of cap space... But if they make it work.. I'm in.
I'd also be in on the Pietrangelo business at reasonable cap or low term. 7 mil x 5 or 9 mil x 2. Sure. I don't see that being anything close to contracts he would sign however. - joel878
I know that it's just a negotiating tactic by Pietrangelo this far out from the start of free agency, but it would be nice if he did sign here..
If he does stay in St. Louis, I hope the Leafs can offer them a package for Parayko and then somehow get Pesce |

Let’s just dump a truckload of steroids and pics of people burning Swedish flags on Liljegren’s doorstep and build the monster that we need on the blueline
Also, where the F is Rasanen? 😡 |

My guess is he has zero motivation, and it's not going to get any better if he stays in Arizona. |

It's hard to think of a specific situation where a good fit exists, unless it's Nylander for a lesser Dman and pick |

And soon people will not be able to hang outside. People are not accepting this is a two or three year effort. It's just like 1918, it came back even worse in the fall and winter. |

Yeah, it means you have to grind one pair to death and then ship two less than competent pairs to the wolves while they sit in the bench.
You have to put a gun to your salary caps skull to do it, and more than likely agree to a contract that has tons of red flags saying it won't age well written all over it.
You have to repeat the exact same mistake you've made at forward and pretend it will work this time.
The more this one is beaten to death... The more I'm shifting from hey Pietrangelo is solid I'll deal with it to... It's a terrible idea. Terrible. - joel878
Eh... I think you're over-stating the "grind". Also, the Leafs have Muzzin on the 2nd pair who is more than capable of handling extra minutes as well.
The Leafs can always add at the TDL if Holl or Lehtonen don't pan out on the 2nd pair.
Your last sentence sounds is delicious and makes me want to beat this dead horse more and more. |

Yup, we're all gonna die...so having a legit top 4 d doesnt matter. We can all be friends.
Also, it was expected that as restrictions were loosened, the numbers would go up for a bit.
Plus some people are dumb. |
