I can’t see him signing anywhere for less than 7 years at minimum 9 per. Not sure how many teams can do that but he will easily have his choice of 4 or 5 that can

If Petro goes to LA would he be crowned "King Alex" or "King Al" ?

If Lundquist leaves NYR will he still be King Henry?

P.S. he used to be King Henrik until he was spotted eating an Oh Henry bar. Now King Henry on the buzz.

Whole thing is dumb and I think blues know that. They can add the extra year to their offer. How much sense does it make uprooting and likely playing for a garbage team next few years when total money will be roughly the same.

That's pricey but maybe .Could see Toronto making a huge mistake and getting him for around 7.5 or 8 but like you say it would be for 7 years .30 years old time running out but it is in Leaf land also ..

He is from Toronto area but it will take more than 8 I believe. If he is not signing for 8 with the Blues than why would he with Toronto?

Why is Army playing hardball with the Captain of the team. A perennial Norris candidate. Always in the top 5. Maybe not but hell. Easily a top 10 defenseman if not top 5. Length terms etc. damn it Army. Get it done!!! Blues are not a top 5 team without Petro. With, they are a legitimate cup contending team

Leafs would structure the contract in what ever way Petro wants (front-loaded/backloaded), and give him a NMC. Would the Blues?

Tavares could’ve gotten 8x11 with the Isles or 7x13 from the Sharks.

Because the Leafs would be willing to give him a full NMC and backload his contract (something he apparently wants).

Back load front load who freakin cares. The ends all meet at the same value. Damn millionaires squabbling over a million give or take. Blues need to do the right thing for the team and just pay him. Faulk was a terrible decision and will come to bite the Blues in the ass. Petro is much better and deserves to be paid by the Blues. I am not in favor of him walking.

That being said I am a Doug Armstrong advocate. He seems to know what he is doing and normally makes the smart correct decision. Faulk trade was a mistake and the contract was a horrible choice

Faulk trade was bad and the Scandella signing was ill-timed.

Blues still aren't out of the Petro sweepstakes yet. Leafs will have to jump through hoops to make it happen.

Avs and VGK might be more realistic destinations...

Your one day to late EK, The news broke On this mid evening last night.

I Know it’s hard for you but try and keep up with the latest gossip you bum, instead of trying to make up bogus rumors where you are suggesting that Malkin will be traded to Nashville to be the man you should reporting real news.

If you need help on following ‘real rumors ‘ by real insiders on Twitter please feel free to reach out to me and i will be happy to teach you how.

Same goes on finding rumors on Google.

It’s Saturday night, go treat yourself to a Chuckies and Pete’s and we can talk tomorrow.

Luv ya Ek

I don’t think the Scandella signing was ill timed. Maybe blues would get better value now that the cap is lowered but Blues had to sure up the left d position and Scandella fits in great.
