What a player says or doesn’t say in a presser doesn’t really matter. These guys are coached to speak cliches for the most part. Some personalities will be a little more insightful.
What matters is how a player plays on the ice. I still like Giroux’s game. Is he still playing to the level of his contract? No. Does he have more to give than what he showed in this years playoffs? Most definitely.
The plan was always for the Flyers to be legit contenders when Giroux was in the latter part of his current contract. The “gamble” by Hextall and now Fletcher is can Giroux still produce enough while the younger players take a big enough step to win the Stanley cup.
It remains to be seen but follow through with the plan. |

I see no pa is ineligible for an offer sheet. - Peter Richards
His recent history and medical situation disqualifies him even if he was eligible.

I think we can all agree that Claude Giroux is terrible at hockey, the worst captain in NHL history, and that the Flyers would be wise to trade him for whatever return they can get ASAP. |

Not when you have 23 mil tied up in g Jake Jvr. That is not a gamble involving youngsters that’s “core” that is paid to produce. They didn’t and won’t. |

Actually I seem only one that has sack to put in writing a daily pick. Nothing against anyone else. Wish more would just for entertainment. |

Lol Toronto isn’t adding anyone significant. They think they can trade Nylander for a young D stud and won’t entertain moving Marner for anything(which in my opinion is how you start to fix that team since no one is touching that Tavares contract) |

On the brightside, Luke Schenn has made the Stanley Cup Final, along with former Flyers’ second year in a row in the final. Go Tampa! |

You are correct , Nylander would have to move. They probably don’t want to move him unless it’s to add a big time stud d man. AP fits the bill....not sure what they would get for Nylander but it would probably be significant.
