Agreed. My point was that the original quoted offer would never land a player of Stamkos' caliber or lure him to waive his NTC to move from a well-established contender in a tax haven.
Johnson or Gourde would definitely be a cap-dump. Palat's name comes up, but I'd rather we keep him over Johnson, Gourde, or Killorn.
