That would make Koivu option H, not F, MORAN! |

Was just going to point out he's third in preseason scoring
2016 draft pick Jesse Puljujarvi has 24 in 15, Lundell has 13 in 11. Not sure if stats are updated, if not, 16 in 12. That'd make him 2nd in scoring. |

Depending on who they go after, we'll find out if they're as progressive as they claim to be. Can't discount the poopty team variable. Gotta find guys actually willing to come to this truck stop bathroom.

2 years after being considered the best defenseman possibly ever drafted. He has talent, but not more than phail lousley. Not proven yet.
I expect big things from dahlin.
4 goals = not good - Boss34
So what you are saying is he is already as talented as one of the most talented defensemen that have ever played the game. |

Lundell is going to be that 50 point 2C that is elite defensively that is the glue guy for a team. He isn’t flashy but he’s a guy you win with.
I’m assuming Rossi being there at 8 Is a long shot at this point so he’s my guy for this year. |

cap-hit beginning this year for the next three years:
$4M
$5M
$3M
that's rough - Michael Pachla
I think you meant, thats dumb. It makes zero sense to buyout Okposo. Save 2 million, 1 million, then 3 million. Then 3 more years at 1 million.
I am sure a team would take him at 50% retention. |

Yeah, they are. And they are things that cannot be accounted for. Anytime someone says "change of scenery" when talking about a trade they are trying to account for something that can't be measured.
Please tell me that playing 1D for the Blues and 1D for the Sabres is the same thing. It might all be hockey, but the level of play for the team today is vastly different for someone to have the same level of team success at both places. - SDSabre
OK.
How do you account for not having the "C" piinned to his chest and therefore the rather significant decrease in team responsibilities unleashed? Huge stress reliever.
How do you account for the stress relief of not playing for a team predicted to be a SC contender and being the face of the franchise?
those are very big stressors gone.
I think you were reaching way to far, as there are PK uts and takes. |

Everyone under the sun is reporting that Laine is the man that is on the move in order to upgrade the defence and down the middle in Winnipeg.
Send them Montour and Risto for all I care.
Then you can move Laine back to his original LW position (yes I’m aware he’s a right handed shot) and let him ride shot gun with Eichel and Reinhart.
Toss Soderberg a one year deal.
Laine-Eichel-Reinhart
Skinner-Staal-Kahun
Olofsson-Soderberg-Cozens
Clifford-Lazar-Okposo
Dahlin-Pietrangelo
McCabe-Joker
Bryson-Miller
Borgen
Ullmark
Hutton
Some work to do to address the defensive depth and goaltending but that’s a pretty productive start. - Pegullaville

Sure, definitely factors as well. I never implied that all factors in change were negative. My biggest issue is he's 31 and already has hard miles on him. Using others as a guide only gets so far, as each individual person is different. Who would have thought Subban would have fallen off a cliff before Weber? I mean, seriously who called that? Needless to say, I think handing him 9M when we still have huge deficiencies up front isn't a responsible thing to do. If we do sign him, I'll be rooting for him to succeed and succeed long term, just like every player that puts that jersey on. I don't pick and choose guys to like and dislike, I want them all to work together for a common goal of one day seeing playoff hock.. er i mean lifting the cup. |

Craig Smith is not returning to Nashville.
He’d be a really good fit here. Won’t command top dollar like the bigger names out there but he provides every bit of the same impact.
I’d love for Buffalo to target him. He’s my ideal target not Pietrangelo - Pegullaville
Evolving Hockey's contract prediction for Craig Smith is 3 years @ $4.4M per.
They have Fast at 3 years and $3M per. |

Fast would be a decent option, might not get as much offense, but who could help out balance the lines defensively. |
