I’ve never said Reinhart stinks .... I love the speed and skill keller plays with. He’s a little undersized. But that’s okay
- Sabretooth9

gerbe hates him, perhaps I should have responded to his post

I have yet to hit the sauce today

he takes less then 1 face off per game

last 2 seasons keller 91 points

reinhart 115 points

keller is great

reinhart stinks and is a bust

the unknown is not always better then the known

One team has Jack Eichel and once had Ryan O’Reilly.

The other team didn’t.

To me Reinhart and Keller are both top 6 wingers but I wouldn’t say any of them are play drivers or elite.

This guy has some of the worst takes, but figured I'd share (if it hasn't been shared already)...

Per NHLTradeRumours...

The Arizona Coyotes have put up the for sale sign and the Buffalo Sabres are interested. The 'Yotes made it known to the rest of the league, if someone on their roster interests you and is over the age of 25, please call them to let them know. Turns out the Sabres have called and it's been about Phil Kessel.

One problem, does Phil Kessel even want to play in Buffalo? With some trade protection, Buffalo is likely on the no-fly list for Kessel as he doesn't seem like the type who would want to leave Arizona to play somewhere like Buffalo.

The Sabres are trying regardless to acquire the sniper, according to a rival league executive. Their latest offer included defensive prospect Oskari Laaksonen and a 2nd-round pick.

Horrible take. Ralph would HATE Phil’s “effort”. This gets a 0.0 synergy rating.

I'd like to see eichel's fancy stats with and w/o reinhart over the last 3 years

I give ralph a 0.0 rating as a head coach

between the lack of in game adjustments, poor use of pulling the goalie and the pathetic special teams

let alone playing d men as wingers, dressing a 1 eye goalie and playing bogo when he wanted out of town

- GERBE!!!75PTS

They need picks and prospects and lower salary.

Would you do Reinhart, next years first and Okposo for Keller and Grabner?

Edit- theyd need to throw Garland in and we send a prospect

Was in shock when I got on my phone and saw the Sabres' Instagram post about the trade. Shocked because it was an actual great, one-sided trade that we won ! Oh, and he's a good player that makes us instantly better then last year.

Anybody see the new "Challenger : The Final Flight" documentary on Netflix ? Really interesting/good. The NASA incompetence is all I can think about today. Those poor astronauts...all dead because of a couple of morons wanted the twice-delayed takeoff to go on - despite there being icycles all over the Challenger that morning. Makes me so angry ! Anyway, check it out !

I was 20, going on 21 later that year so I didn't pay much attention to this tragedy back in January of '86 (was busy being a punk and going to The Continental back then), so this was a great reminder of the disaster. Another Netflix masterpiece.
- kritter65

From what I can recall they were rushed into that dangerous decision on a push from the White House. I did an editorial on that subject for the school newspaper and the gist of it was that the President Reagan did in fact want the Challenger up in the air for some reason I can't recall . I guess I'll have to look for the piece. Which is buried somewhere.

You go from one extreme to the other.

Never once did I say Reinhart didn’t have a positive influence on Jack and isn’t a good complimentary winger.

Whose to say Keller couldn’t have the same effect on Jack or that he hasn’t had the same effect on Dvorak during his time in Arizona ?

All of these are correct. I much rather have had Ruff (NJ). Lavs (Caps). Or Gallant (there is still a chance, I think, 1 in a million, but a chance)... while having Ralph move up in command of the Sabres, allowing Kim more time to podcast.

Sadly, that isn’t what we have. And won’t be what we see. What we have is Ralph the motivational soccer czar in the ear of Pegs’ as part of the “Power trio” or “tripower” (wasn’t that a tranny in an old ‘50s car, wait, can I say tranny?). And it is obvious holds his practice habits near and dear to his heart, because you never mentioned the miss utilization of skinner due to practice. If you think Skinner doesn’t practice. Wait till ya see Phil! He doesn’t even warm up! Ralph won’t have that!

Finally, on a team that lacks an edge, plays soft, you want to bring in the softest player in the league. I will take a 1 armed Anderson every time over Phil.

I love the legend of Hotdog Phil. At this point, with this team, Phil is the LAST player we need.

Go find me another work Horse like Staal. Not an Enigma like Phil.

It's amazing to read some people think Reinhart is the only winger who can play with Jack and get the Sabres to the bottom 5 in the league.

Jack was scoring a lot when he was 13 against men as per an article last week by John Vogl, has played great in college, in the the World Championships, and his game improved with VO on the line last year. I think Jack will be A O K with or without Sammy Boy.

Well when you can't stop a beach ball compared to the quality of shots you face, that's a problem. Seems like he faced a lot of shots, but according to the numbers, not a high number of dangerous ones.
- Buff36

I see where you r coming from but how do analytics determine dangerous shots. From where they are shot from. Does it matter if the goalie is screened or it changes directions. Nope its only determined from where it comes from. If you,I and Jack all shoot from 5 feet away these are all dangerous shots but mine has to be swept to make it to the net.
I’m not a believer. Fake science.

Pretty low bar considering the competition he’s had at the RW position.

Reinhart is the perfect match for Eichel. He's good at keeping the puck in the O zone, he's good at transitioning the puck for Eichel, and he's smart enough to cover in the zone.

I have never been a huge Sam fan. Wanted Drai. I just don't get the need to just trade him for guys who have been measurably worse

I agree with everything about this post.

He’s a good top 6 winger.

If I were to trade him it would be for a 2C or a top 4 d-man and it would be a deal we’d all sit back and say that we got a very good hockey player in return.

In relation to the comparison between Keller and Reinhart all I was stating was to consider the full context of each players situation.
