Okposo played on our 4th line,
with over 4.5min LESS icetime than your guy,
and still scored MORE GOALS
U wanna keep half of Jordan Staal’s 6.0mil Cap,
AND give us him for free, then MAYBE
But we’d probably want u to at least add a pick
He may still be a decent player,
but he’s also a Cap Dump - jdfitz77
It won’t be Jordan but maybe Mark will join Eric in buffalo if the rangers would hold on to some salary. There would be a forward,Defenceman and a goalie from tbay on the team. |

Pretty good article on the state of our goaltending.
I must say I thought Ullmark was better than I originally thought but looking at the stats he’s nothing more than a backup and Hutton is an AHL goalie at best.

That’s just the kind of things that GMs say when the player makes up his mind before even getting the team’s formal offer,
which we did go up to Toronto (or wherever) to give |

Ullmark is Ryan Fitzpatrick. Looks good in short spurts, but give him a long look and you're doomed. |

Would love the hammer. He’s my new bjustead. He’d pretty much be a cap dump for AZ so I’d think he wouldn’t be too hard to get. And I’d partner him with Dahlin for a year.
Of course I wanted Davorak with the hammer, before Staal. I might like the Garland idea now if he can play 2rw...
Who else might you target from AZ with the hammer? - Gr8daygo
Reminder: Staal is 35 and is likely only a one year answer.
Why on earth wouldn't you still want Dvorak?
You don't think a future top 3 centers of Eichel, Dvorak, and Cozens would be massive towards the teams future?
It feels beyond unlikely to believe Arizona would trade either of Garland or Dvorak, but if I'm focusing on only one of those 2, it's Dvorak WAY over Garland. |

Yeah I brought it up a few weeks ago, wierd stuff going on in Arizona with bonuses supposedly not being paid in time. - Buff36
Check out below:
These jobs are coveted, but Arizona’s situation scared some candidates. The late per diems during the playoffs. Delayed bonuses. (Some clarity here: Instead of direct deposit, the Coyotes asked players for addresses to mail the cheques. That wasn’t received very well, seen as a pure delay tactic, with the NHL/NHLPA eventually stepping in.) That situation didn’t get attention until Sept. 1, when several NHLers were affected, but it first came up in July when the organization was late with a $45,000 bonus due to AHLer Tyler Steenbergen. Originally, he was told the cheque had been mailed, before the money was deposited two weeks later. Last week came an arena lease dispute with ASM, which manages the facility. It claims the Coyotes owe rent, although a couple of sources indicate the team wants to either re-negotiate the lease or wait until closer to next season to pay. Whatever the case, it’s a lot to absorb. Armstrong, however, was not deterred. He refused to back away from the challenge. |

55 will be out in two years...pietrangelo has a lot of miles on him and he'll probably be looking at a max contract which will take him into his mid-latter 30's - Michael Pachla
I checked minutes played and the results were interesting.
Over the last 5 seasons, Ristolainen has played 244 more minutes overall than Pietrangelo.
That surprised me as I thought Pietrangelo would definitely have more minutes played over the last 5 seasons.
Pietrangelo has way more minutes overall due to being in the league longer, which is your point.
I'm with Broads on the idea of driving up the cost of Pietrangelo for the Leafs to get him. |

My buddy said some stuff about that a few weeks back. Before ROR was traded I guess Botts was working on a deal to get Domi and Garland+ from Arizona, but it fell through because of the bonus owed ROR, and then Domi was traded to Montreal a couple days later. Crowe likes Garland from what I was told. |

I’m surprised the nhlpa doesn’t have late payment penalties like most unions due in their contract. Or maybe they do and no one is asking for it?
The union employees that work for me can charge me 8 hours pay if they get their check more than 24 hours late |

Kind of weird when Hutton had the best stats for all goalies in the league while in St. Louis it was because of the team in front of him but when he comes to buffalo and his stats are in the lower portion of the league it’s all on him.
Also kind of weird stats can prove after several years in the nhl as a top backup he’s nothing more than a Ahl goalie.
I hope Ullmark has a super year now because there’s still room under the bus. |

Well when you can't stop a beach ball compared to the quality of shots you face, that's a problem. Seems like he faced a lot of shots, but according to the numbers, not a high number of dangerous ones. |

What does Evolving Hockey has his deal projected at? 8 years @ $9M per, and they have it as 59% most likely, which is a very high number for their projections.
They're good!
Hearing Pietrangelo camp had come in as high as $9.25 mill, just above the contract of #Preds Dman Roman Josi of $9.059 AAV. Josi also has $34 million in signing bonuses built into the first four years of his deal. #stlblues
I’ve said from the beginning, one of the biggest roadblocks between Pietrangelo and the #stlblues would be how the contract is structured. Under Stillman/Armstrong , they have never negotiated signing bonus money in a contract. Org philosophy vs representation philosophy differs

I expect Ullmark to continue to improve. He’s 27 and a goalies prime is usually between the ages of 29-32.
It’s still pretty obvious though that we need to upgrade on Hutton.

You also know the Leafs are going to hand him that same deal but 90% of that contract will be in the form of signing bonuses and up front money. |

This guy has some of the worst takes, but figured I'd share (if it hasn't been shared already)...
Per NHLTradeRumours...
The Arizona Coyotes have put up the for sale sign and the Buffalo Sabres are interested. The 'Yotes made it known to the rest of the league, if someone on their roster interests you and is over the age of 25, please call them to let them know. Turns out the Sabres have called and it's been about Phil Kessel.
One problem, does Phil Kessel even want to play in Buffalo? With some trade protection, Buffalo is likely on the no-fly list for Kessel as he doesn't seem like the type who would want to leave Arizona to play somewhere like Buffalo.
The Sabres are trying regardless to acquire the sniper, according to a rival league executive. Their latest offer included defensive prospect Oskari Laaksonen and a 2nd-round pick. |

I like thrill kessel. Idk about giving up a 2nd for him right now. We have quite a few 1-dimensional wingers
If AZ really wants to rebuild -
2021 1st, Reinhart, Mitts and Okposo for Keller and Garland. I know supposedly only people over 25 are available but that team needs firsts and prospects badly.
