Agreed. My point was what Winnipeg would undoubtedly want for Laine.
- kingcong39

I honestly don't think they go the way of Patrik Laine but that's my opinion.

And they shouldn't considering what it will cost.

8th, Risto and Middlestat would be my offer. Not sure why people get so hung up on keeping the 8th if you get such a big return.

The 8th should be involved in any deal for the right player, we are in no position to keep waiting year after year.

I've said it many, many times over the last 2 years as did Homie, they don't want to move Risto however if it's Patrik Laine, you move him and not look back.
- SABRES 89

Laine is going to be signing a new contract coming up his contract is done this coming year and he has a salary of 7.5 mil and a cap hit of 6.75mil so he and Dahlin will be signing big contracts if they get him.

So much for 70 mil unless somebody else can crunch the numbers

Stop resigning guys like Girgs, Larson(difficult) and other bottom three to mid level contracts. You can find 1-2 mil players to fill those roles.

It's not a badd thing we're getting 50 goals Only problem is the big contract

Unless we're just gonna flip him next year

Depends whose on the board.

If they are planning on taking Holtz then might as well move the pick for Laine.

I still don't get why the Winnipeg jets wanna get rid of him I understand hes addicted to video games but he still an elite goal score And they don't wanna pay Him I just don't get it

Is there something else going on that the NHL doesn't know about

What I would do is make this deal, draft Holtz and we would begin to be stacked on the wings. Trade Reinhart for something of need as in a different style top 6 winger who might make less as well.

I would never offer that. Look up where Laine makes his money. It's in the low left slot on the powerplay where Eichel plays. It's a major redundancy.

Buyer beware. His shooting percentage has come back to earth. You are acquiring a 30 goal scorer who does his business in the same place as Eichel.

For Risto and Mitts? Sure. For 8 as well? No way.

Risto/Montour and Mitts is the type of deal they are looking for.

Adams is looking at Patrik Laine, they want a Damn and a center in return.
- SABRES 89

Atleast he’s searching for a top 6 winger. That is nice to hear.

I am guessing since we got staal ..... no more flames Monahan. That dream is dead?
