It appears as if the Hornqvist/Matheson deal is being held up due to an insurance issue — the ability to fully insure contracts against injury.

Fly into Pittsburgh or Cleveland and drive up. Ain’t no one at the NY state boarder checking IDs.

I am probably on the secret no fly list right now as my wife is recovering from covid

she is now symptom free, 18 days later, but pretty sure my dad would not let me in the house right now even if I could get in the state

again, no desire to mention anything I hear again, due to people like you

you know, like when you said I didn't know sh!t about the bills and antonio brown and then we woke up to find out we almost had him

Well, besides coming on here to read Pachs well written blogs, the only reason I come on here is for the rumors from Homie, 89, and I think it was 39 before some on here ran him off.

PS, Homie, condolences.

Certainly man enough to admit I get pissed at this organization, and I get irritated when people provide misinformation.

But why throw insults around at people because they don't want Ristolainen?

But as far as "never"? That's false, outright.

Why would you want that?
- TheSabresTaco

Learning lessons are difficult and painful and Sabres fans eat Dmen up like M&M's. Especially Euros. Sekera - get him out of here; Richard Šmehlík - too big and soft, Risto- total bumb; Alexi Zhitnik - couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and if many get what you want and put Joker as #1 good luck.

Hardly think that's fair.

Tyler Myers. Craig Rivet. Steve Montador (RIP). Mark Pysyk. Mike Weber. Chris Butler.

I assure you, we are not biased towards Europeans. The players above have gone through the shredder until liquified.

Tyler Myers was given every benefit of the doubt until he finally couldn't make an outlet pass.

Craig Rivet had one leg retired when he was here

I didn't say only Euros but my overall point is if fans want Joker to be number one, good luck.

That, and Ristolainen has been here for 8 years now. 8. He’s more than halfway through his career most likely. It’s just amazing they’re about to load up and do it again with him

I don't really think that's what we're hearing.

While I fully admit that I don't believe Dahlin has a partner here that can make the two of them a top pairing, I think the argument is that Ristolainen is used as such, and performs poorly at it.

Does he need to be traded? No. But the desire to expunge him is solely because this organization has overpumped his tires for years and has continually asked him to play a scenario in which he is completely incapable of doing.

Believe it or not, I like watching him play. This team needs more players in his mold. But this team also needs him, if he's going to be playing the minutes he's asked to play, to be a better hockey player. One he's proven time and again that he is not.

Good post.

I wouldn’t mind Risto if they gave him 3rd pairing minutes and his salary was cut in half.

Only problem is that he gets first pairing minutes and is overpaid

I'd even be fine with him if he flopped between 2 and 3 pair. He's a wonderful PPQB, if we had a 2nd unit, he'd be awesome.

I have mixed feelings on Risto. On one hand he can just go and on the other hand it makes this soft team even softer.

All i want are players that play hard, are aggressive and play competitively every night.

What I really don't care about is their names.

Just give me the product.

I think at the ery least Jokiharju is the type that fits that mold.

Dahlin will be very physical and all around great like Hedman is.

Jokiharju will be the smart, smooth passing safety blanket for when Dahlin is flying around making plays
