Way too much faith on the youngins. If they did that then there would be crying for Vet Dmen on here once the season started much like there was when ROR was dealt and they needed a 2nd line center.

If they wanted to use Risto as a #4-5 D man that’s fine, but they won’t.

Contract stuff man. There's tons of reasons why a contract can be agreed upon then signed weeks later. Look at Lehner. He still hasn't signed, but apparently agreed to do so.
