They signed Cal to.. Rochester. They signed Jesper to... Rochester. They traded for Vesey because he was cheap, and is an NHL player.

Marc Staal is a husk. And unless he's signing a deal to play in the AHL and compete for a NHL spot, there is zero reason to want him.
