i dont think many will argue that the LOG line (if it were the 4th line) isn't a problem. the problem comes when they are used as a 3rd line and when you look at the price tag. - SabresFaninIndiana
Especially when that price tag could easily be $11M combined for next year (Okposo = $6M, Larsson = $3M, Girgensons = $2M). |

Now what do we call Clifford, if he gets signed .... Jam Larry... Clarry? - Gr8daygo
Buffalo may as well go after Larrrs Eller. Lockport Lars eller, they call him L’s |

That's the big problem, if we could get them for the same salary as last year it would be fine, the money is the issue. |

Absolutely, but I doubt the Ducks would want to do that. |

How bad is henriques contract? As a 3C. He would be good.
Pending his contract situation. The played is fine |

Ooofff. If the ducks hold 1.8 mill. Yes, I do it. 100%
He’s 30. So not out of his prime just yet. |

Well over on there board as long as they don't have to hold any celery, it's a deal. But your right I doubt they would do it. |

This is a good point. For 4th liners the value isn’t there at that price |

Well the last 2yrs would be the problem, you are basically adding 400,000 for the first 2yrs with the contract swap. He would still only be 32, so you might be able to still move him. |

How about we each hold like 1.5M off of each, so that for the first two years it's even, but they pay for the last two years? |

2 budget teams. I think that would be tough to pull off.
Even though I mentioned the same thing lol |

Well I got them to hold 400,000 grand to make it a contract in contract out deal. |

You have yet to make a good argument for Larsson leaving being a good thing besides you're just tired of seeing him. Which is a pretty bad justification.
The crazy thing is, swapping Larsson for Staal is a net loss.
We have no one to handle tough minutes. And no Curtis Lazar can't remotely do what Larsson does |

Staal > Johansson.
That’s the way I look at it.
I will be interested to see how they go about replacing Larsson.

Sure. Staal as an offensive 2C is for sure an upgrade.
As it stands they need a shut down center otherwise one of Staal or Eichel are going to be put in unfavorable spots |

I mean you could switch Staal with Monahan and we’d still be in the same predicament, actually even worse off defensively.
How they replace Larsson remains to be seen. If it is by throwing a two year offer at Haula or Gally though then they better be on the look out for a couple of 200 foot wingers to compensate |

You refuse to acknowledge that Larsson was legitimately a top 10 defensive forward in the league last season. That's fine
Staal isn't very good defensively, and is going from a 1C in Minny to a 2C in Buffalo.
Who's taking the tough matchups? Staal? Cozens? - sbroads24
It's not that hard to figure out. Eichel takes the tough matchups a la Sidney Crosby, Staal and Skinner feast in the wake a la Malkin, and then you assemble a bottom six that is balanced enough to occasionally score and not puke all over themselves in the defensive zone.
My God it'll be ok when Larsson leaves. I promise. |
