Why isn't Russel Wilson considered to be among the elite qbs?

I think Wilson is the 2nd best QB in the league.

Watch Lamar in person. Him as a Qb passing isn’t great. (That was based on last year). I haven’t seen much this year

I was on the field for a Wisconsin game when Wilson was in college and never saw him play before and he had such a beautiful arm. He threw one bomb and I said "that guy has an arm!!" He was impressive. I have seen a lot of college games from the field and no QB's arm was so strong, had such jump that I ever saw.

Most Americans translate it to "play stupid games, win stupid prizes", but I don't think that's quite right.

I think Wilson is elite, what has held back that narrative was Seattle’s run game and defense. It doesn’t seem that either as as good as they once were. Wilson is a stud. Top 3 IMO.

The Pats played Seattle tough,
and a healthy Cam looks pretty good
It’s gonna be a dogfight for the division with them

Nice that Allen looked very good again
He’ll need to keep that up
Especially if our running game stays hit or miss

Schedule is gonna start getting tougher,
we beat up on 2 bad teams
Off to a good start though, Go Bills!

Weird to say he’s underrated, but i think he is
Russel Wilson is a really, really good football player
He’s easily a Top3 QB

First place.

And so it begins. We are embarking on a 5 - 10 year run of elite QB play and top of the division football. Prime time games, home playoff dates, Super Bowl appearances.

I am so stoked for this.

This week will be a very good test for the Bill's, we will need Edmunds and Milano against the Rams.

My two underrated, cheap UFA defenseman suggestions for the Sabres are Jon Merrill (LHD - 28) and Tim Heed (RHD - 29).

They are both strong defensively, and are projected to cost $2.6M combined on a one year deal or $3M combined on a 2 year deal.

Merrill would be strong 3rd pair LHD while Heed would be a strong 7th D, or quality 3rd pair RHD.

The Oline is gonna have to step up there game this week with Donald, Booker, Robinson coming into town. And Buffalo's secondary, namely Wallace needs to step up. That Higbee is really turning into something so it's gonna be a tough test.

Another way Staal can help I hope is faceoffs. Sabres were last in the league for faceoff percentage. If the other team is starting off with control of the puck more times than not it certainly gives them a huge advantage to win. Combine this with the low totals for shot blocking and one can see lots of room for improvement on a team that stressed defence. Because the team was also on the bottom end of goals for another top six scorer would help. Kessel may be the man but his defending doesn’t fit with the needs of this team.

Lazar is decent on the dot too...as a 4C, could help out a bit in that regard as well.
Maybe Staal can help Jack there too...get him into low 50% would be great.

I was told Lazar is awful. I don't have a firm opinion either way. I liked seeing him on the ice, though.

Lazar is the typical player who exceeded expectations that almost equaled zero. You get a bunch of those guys every year, and usually those guys are on bad teams.

It'll be interesting to see what they want their 4th line to be. Last year to start the season the 4th line was Vesey-mitts-sheary. They could do something similar with Thompson, Mittelstadt and Okposo, or they could have a classic larry line with Lazar, Asplund and Okposo
