So I was “youtube” scouting aka watching Eric staals goals from the last couple years.

He scores most of his goals in the slot and closer to net.

Instead of risto in front on the PP. Staal with his reach could be nice.

But it will finally be nice to see a player get some garbage goals and actually get to the front of the net. Not many current Sabres do that

Even if he legs get chopped off due to age. You don’t need to be fast in close to the net. He’s big and hard on the puck. That’s good enough for me for 3.25 million.

Am of the opinion that he doesn't need to be "ripped," per say, he just needs to have enough strength and stamina to handle NHL minutes and the grind of the season. No small task, but the developmental coaches should be the driving and guiding voices in his off season workout regimen.
