He's talking about Pasta and is correct. He has played sub-par both years. Granted he was injured both years and not 100% but that doesn't change the end result. We can't expect everyone to perform to Bergy's level of playing hurt.

Pasta would likely have led team in points this year if he played all games - was a point per game. No other Bruin can claim that.

Previous year he had 19 points, more than Bergeron who actually has had 2 sub-par playoffs in a row. Perhaps the 1C having 2 sub-par playoffs has affected the winger?

Last two Playoffs the biggest no-show has been Jake DeBrusk. 15 points in 37 games. Puts a lot of pressure on the 1st line when the 2nd line is doing squat.

29 points in 34 games is hardly no showing. Pasta was also hurt last year and out performed Patrice. . You live and die as a team in playoff hockey. Pasta isn't even close to the problem.

I said he was hurt both years and I didn't say he stunk up the place, just played below "projections". He clearly wasn't 100% against the Lightning and it was evident. Let's not forget he was pretty much non-existent against the Blues (4 pts in 7 games). Would just love to see him 100% (or at least close) during the post season.

As far as Bergy goes, wish he would have just bit the bullet before this season and had the surgery vice the hope and a prayer injection treatment. Sure, he would have missed a bunch of time to start the season but he might have been in better shape during these playoffs.

On to a different subject. I'm hoping the rumors are true about going after Virtanen. Nice young big body RW who has improved each year. Could actually be a fit for Krejc's RW.

Jake Virtanen. Puke. Talented but drama filled.

Seems like a lot of off the ice stuff where hockey isn't his priority. Partying, conditioning etc. Hes got the Seguin party bug with a 1/4 of the talent. Seems like the type of player that will end up bouncing around the cellar dweller teams.

That being said, i think he looked ok in the playoffs this year.

Fair enough, wasn't aware...was only looking at the hockey side of things. Physically fits the bill, is young, and has improved each year but if he comes with a lot of baggage then might be best to pass.

I would rather overpay for Brock Boeser. If Carlo is involved in a trade for Jake Virtanen I will be furious.

If Carlo is involved in any trade (unless it also brings in a good sized d-man), I'll be upset. A bit of a step back this year, but still plenty of upside for a big, young d-man.
