Just as well, injury prone, lousy on the first shot, overrated. He wants to walk on the team that made him a great goalie over a year of term or a million extra...(frank) him.

I’m sure Benning and company will explore all options, that Cernak kid from Tampa is an RFA, he’s a right shot and he’s only just turned 23...perhaps a good option.

The more I think about Ristolainen from Buffalo the more I’m ok with it.

Depends if he's willing to sign a shorter deal. If we wants to end up in LA at the end of his career, maybe he signs a 3/4 year deal here. Doubtful, but who knows.

I don’t recall any UFA signing a three year deal at 28 years old. Kariya and Selanne signed one year deals in Colorado I think, but I just don’t see three years as being realistic.

Nope, not normally – especially a top 6 player. But, if he's willing to do it, it'd be great to have him on that time frame.

Personally, I’d like to think he’s turned the corner from making these types of moves, we shall see. I’m not opposed to moving anyone, except Petey & Huggy, but it has to make the team better.

I feel he has turned a bit of a corner, especially if it's true he's sticking to his guns on contract caps for Marky/TT/Tanev.

I would think that a top 4 RHD + TT would make the team better than Boeser alone, but I'm not sure it does in the long term. There are a lot of variables to consider, including who/how young that RHD is, how TT holds up the next 4 years, and if Podkolzin or Hoglander can make an impact in the top 6 in the next two years.

A few things, just because you don’t trade Boeser for a top four dman doesn’t mean you can’t still acquire one, they need a puck mover who can get the puck up the ice with his stick or his legs.

Secondly, the top six is weaker with just Toffoli imo than just Boeser, BB is five years younger and he’s better than TT, at least to me. He’s produced better offensively the past three years. I don’t care if he’s not a dynamic two-way player, I only want him to produce offensively.

Top six forwards are more about great pairs on your top two lines, Miller and Petey work well and Horvat and Boeser have proven to work well, the top line just needs a complimentary player like Pearson.

I'm not in the trade Boeser camp, he is just the most valuable asset to get one. If somehow they were able to get Ekblad out of Florida but it took Boeser to do so, would you not look at that? The return from trading Boeser is going to be better than one from trading JV, is all.

And just because you want Boes to create only offense doesn't mean that's what TG wants – as we've all stated the Canucks need to be better defensively everywhere.

I think it does. Having that big number one RHD who can play 24 minutes a night has a bigger impact than Boeser would. Factor in the potential openings for Hoglander or Podkolzin (when he comes) to step into some big minutes to replace some of the offense as well.
