He was super into Ryan O'Reilly too. The Palmer super line was Ryan-O'Reilly-Jagr.

That's right haha, he was always great comic relief.

Feel like we had more variety and a more colorful cast of characters back then. Every day was wild with Palmer and Bartley knocking around. Hardnosed was like a less intense Grinder. The Onionta Penguin vs. RW skirmishes when RW still commented were always great.

Read an article about potential trade return predictions of Matt Murray.

It was a defenseman from Edmonton,

Sam Bennett from Calgary plus Rittich with money retained,

Valeri Nichushkin + from Colorado (we add in more to the trade)

Ottawa a potential center option. Or Murray and JJ for a pick.

I actually wouldn't mind any of the deals. I just hope JR doesn't make a bad move/a deal just to make a deal.

Finally complete Dupuis and I's dream from like a half decade ago to acquire Nichushkin.

True talk though Nichushkin had a good season. Versatile and can play both wings. I'd really like that as a middle six scoring winger.

Didn't punctuate either so I just read it as a continuous mumble.

Ha ha. Exactly. Definitely part of the charm.

I thought I heard EDM was out.

I would probably do the CGY trade if Rittich is the one with retained salary (he only makes $2.75M anyway).

Yes to Nichuskin depending on what the + is.

OTT is pretty short on Cs and no thanks to Anisimov. A pick doesn't help us much unless we are flipping it, but if JJ is included, then sure.

Maybe a 3-way with ANA is possible since they don't need Murray?

Well, the talking heads are talking about the stupid blood rule, so maybe it finally gets changed. Bad call on top of that. Hope the Isles don't go out because of that.

Grinder just died inside. But seriously, Trotz is a great coach. He got everything out of them.

The French term is an expression in the English lexicon. Basically means mystique.

Gotcha. As a bi-lingual canadian that was just the first time I’ve seen that phrase used that way.

There definitely was. I was actually wondering what happened to Hardnosed the other day haha. Also, our Swedish friend, Martox was it?

Only out if JR keeps his 1st round pick talk. The price will drop and teams will re-enter the mix.
