5M is the going rate for a good #3C. look around the league.
problem is Danault has really strong arguments saying he's a #2C. then the going rate is more like 7M+.
I know we all want him on the 3rd line, but put yourself in his shoes. why would he settle for 5? to stay home to see mom and dad more often?
either they come halfway (6.25M is my bet) either he'll play elsewhere. imo.

I completely understand your argument. He has his needs and so do the Habs. If they can come to an agreement that makes sense...fine. If not...goodbye. He shouldn’t settle and either should the Habs. Tough spot with a great player |

It's late, however I just finished smoking some long, succulent, juicy chicken necks, bone in, on my Weber Rocky Mountain. Takes app. 5 hours.
Probably going to Kanata this week-end to visit Bernoit and his GF. He figures Habs should package Domi, Kulak and a DP to Wpg for Laine, we'll debate this.
