Ek has been pushing a Malkin trade foe years. Why? Because it creates comments, and readers. If both of those stop, so do the bogus rumors...

(frank)ing A Ek. You recycle the whole garbage Malkin trade poop every year. Isn’t it tiring? Get some new material.

But but but, every year Ek leaks that Malkin wants to be the man?

At this point I think for him the Malkin trade crap is his own little bit of trolling.

Why would they trade for Malkin if they already have Duchene and Johansen?

So Malkin can be their 3rd line center.

Their are inches mooving in Montreal on Pat Laine becoming a Canadian. But also possible it doesnt happen. Could Depend on malkin. Al PeterAngelo is still a possibility in many places.

Malkin has been protected behind Crosby his whole career. He isn’t a top line center on most teams today, he isn’t worth that much value in trade ever.

I think a more plausible rumor would be Malkin to Arizona for Oliver EkmanLarsson straight up.

Dude are you serious?!?! I've only been a member here for about a little over a year now, but I've only read two of these "debates" since I've joined. The first coming after the Islanders swept us last year, and this being the second.

If there is roughly that many that you speak of then clearly I've been living under a rock for longer than I have expected. Thanks for looking out homie!

Don' let the facts get in the way here. You weren't here for parts 1-5. What in the actual (frank) is wrong with you?

Great trade...under Hynes, Malkin would be good for at least 10 goals and 21 assists!

Ek has had Malkin being traded since he first started Hockey Buzz. This is from February of 2006...

And it could still happen!

While everyone else here is playing checkers, Ek is playing drunken blindfolded flaming lawn darts. No sissy safety-tip, obviously...

This was a great read. I guess the Malkin story never grew legs.

I also liked the names in the rumours. Some great blasts from the past. But it doesn't seem like many of those guys even went to the teams listed. One of my favourites was Shane Doan...65% chance he stays in Phoenix, but a 40% chance he gets traded to Ottawa or Buffalo. Hmm, 65 + 40 = Buzztron math.

So how did Pitt re-acquire their 2020 1st from the Leafs?
