If they sign him yup and if not, well, it only cost a 5th round pick in a draft where we still have 11 picks. I’d say the gamble is worth it.

He was making 3.1 M last season, at 27 he might want some term and of course a raise... We’re paying Chiarot 3.5, my guess is that’s what MB will try to sign him for, don’t know if he’ll go for it though...

He’s way better then Kulak and Mete. He’s a physical Dman that can put some points at times. He’s an upgrade on size (6’4), he plays PK (Thanks god) and he will probably play with Petry

That’s a decent trade if he’s signed. He won the cup with Allen in St-Louis. He has problem to stay healthy because of physical gameplay he brings

We have 2 more years of Chiarot and he’s 29...you then need to decide if Romanov can handle more minutes or if you need to keep Chiarot I guess. Edmundson is not only a cup champion but a favourite in the locker room apparently so I can see Bergevin wanting to keep him around a while.

Hahaha!! That was perfect timing! Yes, makes sense with some overlap and allows Romanov to develop a little slower instead of getting thrown in over his head too early like Mete.
