Agreed. I hope NYR trades 1OA and Lundqvist to DET for 4OA and an autographed Brad Richards jersey. - Feds91Stammer
I actually have a Brad Richards signed plate from the year after the lightning won it all. The lightning came into the restaurant i worked at in Calgary kinda nervous they wouldn't get accepted anywheres.
I had a few pops with some of them and he called a buddy of mine and told him to (frank) himself as a devils fan... all in good fun.
Got him to sign a plate for me from the restaurant. He Vinny lac, richardson, and crew were great guys.

you know Sidney Crosby only makes 3 million in salary each of his last 3 years on his contract?
two more years at 9 million a year
then 3 years at 3 million a year in salary
OOOOOOFA, I can't imagine Crosby being happy being paid 3 million a year, like 1.6 million after taxes. Even if he is 35 years old by then. |

You know he signed a contract that left him with 8.7M per year annually where he got paid 12M per for the first 3 years. And 9+ for the following 6 years, and finishes at 3 per for the last 3 years. He signed a contract that allows them to be competitive for the duration of his contract. All 12 years of it. His contract is also why the CBA was changed to why guys cant sign for more than 7 years, and they cant get a certain drop of salary per year. He signed that contract and has no one to be upset with but himself for the last 3 years. |

He'll probably be able to squeak by on 3 million for the last 3 years. |

Depends on how good of a buddy Jack Johnson is. |

I’ve been reading the Rangers and Habs have been talking about Domi. The other teams interested in him are the pens and cbj. I’d have to imagine we have more to offer than both of them |

Vivian -
On the heals of the Joel Edmundson trade, I would like to propose a *hypothetical* follow up:
To Montreal:
Marc-Edward Vlasic
2020 1st Rd. Pick (Acquired from Tampa Bay:28-31)
To San Jose:
Jeff Petry
2020. 1st Rd. Pick (16th)
Montreal gets Shea Weber's Team Canada partner with term to pair on the top set. Has been linked to MEV and is reportedly ready to waive his NMC according to Kevin Kurz of The Athletic.
Sharks get replacement this year on backend with Petry, move up to help fill lacking prospect pool, and relief against expansion draft with defensemen.
Thoughts?

Think you posted here by mistake, but my thoughts:
Atrocious!
Montreal takes on a 33yr old Defenseman with 6 years term @ $7 mill/year AND they move DOWN in the draft over 12 spots! Why would they ever do that? |

Unsure why they wouldn't try ADA on the left of Trouba. Plus, Brooks is projecting forward almost two years with Nils, since the end date would be June 2, 2022. Plus, the names he listed as bottom-pair options, yikes on some them, including MDZ. |

Is that a deal you would make? If looking to get grittier down the middle, unsure Domi fits that bill. |

Brooks also completely doesn't take into account a simple scenario:
Rangers sign D'Angelo to a multi-year deal and then trade him one or two years later. |
