Good post Scott about the competition in the West. I'm not holding my breath waiting for Bowman to make major changes. He could have started with the roster shake up already. Like Stlbrave said earlier, teams with available cap space are using it up and its getting scarcer.

Well everything is a process and that process is becoming a better team than last year, so making the playoffs would make them a better team. It's about steps, you can't decide I'm going to run a marathon today one has to train for it, same goes for a team even where they have no salary cap in baseball they win they lose than they might win again like Boston or SF, or you can end up like the Yankees and Dodgers who haven't won poop yet. Or like the Cubs who win one and are in their retooling stage, it's just how it goes.
