Carol everyone is disappointed by JV because we see he has the tools to do more. This one is more about hefty price of arbitration though then performance expectations.
JV's just slow to figure things out. But by the numbers you posted JV had a decent playoffs from bottom 6 his first time around. He was up there in hits too. But again he was an immature young guy among in their prime physical veteran teams and was intimidated. He's not going to be an overachiever by any means or balls to the wall confident. Maybe in another few years he will be a consistent contributor.
Lets just put disappointment aside because its from expectations that should have been lowered.

So being young and immature applies to JV, but not Gaudette? Gaudette who is a year younger and 55 pounds lighter?
He's going to fill out his frame, he's got drive and hustle and determination to be here, things you can't say for JV.
