hate cats.

Lets play a game today flyers fans. Pick 3 free agents ( RFA or UFA) you would like the flyers to look into acquiring.

Laine would be my target. Dude is 40-50 goals a year if played top line. He wants out of peg. He showed this year when played up top he can be a playmaker a little too and while not great a d can hold his own. Would solve the sniper problem on wing immediately

If we got Laine I’d move g back to center for his last couple years also.

I don’t blame hexy for taking him at 2. But the fact is there were a lot of pre draft injury questions with Patrick. Add that to fact he never projected to be top line center but more of a really good 2way 2nd line center made me hate the pick. There were a lot of publications that had Petterson ranked higher at center position including elite prospects. Add that to how high makar and miro were rated and the pick really just stunk of a “really safe pick”. When you win lottery and go from 13 to 2 damn take a swing. One of the few criticisms of hexy. On a side note I was at the draft in Chicago that year and saw hexy walk out to bus after draft. I said to him as he walked by “ should’ve taken miro” he just looked at me and smiled. Really wish I was wrong

What bc he was over a point per game player playing through wasn’t it a hernia. The couple of injuries he had I thought were unrelated. How on earth did we sign Myers? He has a injury history as well.

I know what you’re saying. Depends on what happens on d. I could see one forward and one defenseman being signed.

Really? I’d keep him at wing just because he’s been more effective there in recent years. Plus, can you imagine a line of G-Couts-Laine.

what are you giving up to acquire him that the Jets would accept to move him?

I don't recall you voicing your opinion about any of this during the draft.

Because I was at the draft. I wasn’t on my phone except for some pics. 😄nopa was making the rounds after doing his interviews and was right below me. We all knew nico was going 1 nopa2 idk maybe it’s just me. I really wanted miro but would’ve been really happy with makar. Getting nopa was just meh. We have and had planets of center depth at time. Even more confusing is we sign Hayes. He wasn’t brought in to be a 3rd line center. Coots Hayes top 2. Where’s that leave nopa? 3c? Move to wing? Honestly half the problem with this team is most player slotted wrong. Which in the end does them in. Ie raffle playing too high in lineup. Ie nisky isn’t a top line dman. Just throws everything off. But I guess that’s what happens when you don’t have the horses. If we’d taken miro or makar look at what our d would’ve been. [/img]

haha even leading up to the draft you never said any of this. the consensus was that nico and Patrick were going top 2, we just didn't know who the devils were taking. you would have thought you'd voice your opinion at least in here.

too busy predicting scores I guess.
