Assuming they won't do Dunn, what do you think of Perron to help St. L get under the cap. Two more years at $4m seems like a great steal. PQ boy so should make that segment happy, plays physical, shows up in the playoffs and can score 20+ most years.
Yes, it's that slow a work day - Takemedrunkimhome
If St-Louis still believe they're contenders, they should keep Perron and give picks to get rid of Alex Steen's contract instead. |

Nope.... mentioning all players that could be dealt in separate trade proposals doesn't mean one expects all to be traded! The team probably has a list of 12-15 assets they could make available, doesn't mean they intend on trading them all - obie
Suzuki, KK, Gally, Price, Weber, Petry - that's my guess for MB's untouchables. Maybe add Caufield, Romanov and Chiarot.
Everybody else I can see in play to some degree |

Don't know where the Domi for Saad trade started, but Saad has 1 year left on his contract before becoming UFA...Habs would be really (frank)ing dumb to trade Domi (RFA) for him. - BashCH
Probably started here, I've mentioned Saad a few times, would be a good addition but I agree, not for Domi
I think Gramps was saying the asking price would be Poehling, 16th overall and a 2nd, if I remember correctly... wouldn't do that either... if Saad has an extension, different story on both suggestions |

I agree but I'm trying to find a solution that benefits the Habs haha. Steen going makes the most sense if they can find a partner but with a flat cap the price should be high to take him |

Leafs got rid of Marleau for a 1st. Will probably be something like that. |

I like Perron... would I give up 16th overall for him? Tough call, I think I'd say no... maybe if they send the Habs 26th overall back and Habs send a 2nd or 3rd the other way... I dont think I'd skip on a mid 1st rounder of a deep draft for 32 year old Perron straight up |

Knowing the likelihood of MB having nearly $6m in unused cap space I'd probably sign up for that |

Complete agreement. In this scenario Habs are getting a useful asset but it is doing St. L a favour too. I'd rather start with 2's or a Mete/Juulsen type player. More that I like Perron as a target and like his contract term and price |

However that makes negative sense for the Habs. No guarantee there's a fit between them |

Karine
Hains: Cap Crunch
Could the Habs use their cap space to target some restricted free agents this coming offseason? - Karine Hains
Karine, Arizona is broke. They did not pay meal money to their payers and missed July 1st bonuses. They will be dumping payroll. The " space" thing with them is irrelevant. They are going to be moving OEL and it's for financial reasons(And i do not believe Hall is signing there and they'll still move OEL). They will not be at the cap max next year like they were this year. They are in deep trouble with COVID 19 losses. There are likely a few others. That's why I'm not big on assumptions teams will repeat the same number they had last year on the cap. Offer them players that have low actual $$ on their deals. |

Yea not much interest in Bozak on this end.... and back to Perron, he would definitely be a better goal scorer than most of what they have on the wing currently |

You've lost the right to try and tell anybody anything about hockey with any authority. You have the least credibility on hockeybuzz and that's (frank)ing saying something. Now away with you |

Oh and how's my Dallas pick looking to come out of the WEst? |

How's everything you've pontificated about the Leafs as gospel from the pulpit going? Seriously you're a (frank)ing embarrassment to your own team's fans. You're one sad and pathetic joke and again nobody puts any credibility behind anything you say. You did it to yourself, you're a laughing stock in the Leafs thread. Your name is used as an insult to others when they say something stupid or homerish. Bruceflyers looks at you and is like man that dude has problems. You're one pathetic joke. But tell us more about how awesome the playoff missing Leafs are. If you keep doubling down you may eventually be right. Tanner reads your comments and thinks "ok now I see why people mock me". You're just a (frank)ing joke |

I could point out how you spewed all your ignorance and then went into hiding like a coward when the Leafs did their annual drop from the face of the earth. Frankly it's easier to tell you to stay in the Leafs thread where, while the openly mock you, they at least have learned to tolerate you. If you want to stay here expect the constant disrespect and mockery you've earned and fully deserve. |
