So the really clear cut win so far from MB is the Pacioretty trade
- habs88888

Certainly wasn't the Drouin trade.

I think 2 things happened when he went to Nashville:

1) He felt he had to live up to what Weber meant to the franchise, and that lead to him to focus on trying to be being popular, not necessarily a better player.

2) Nashville (the team) tried put a lot of marketing money behind PK, and the people who were marketing him likely helped him focus more on brand than on hockey.

I am not sure PK would have ever been this big about "brand" if he stayed in MTL, that being said, he was focused on his legacy too much for someone at the start of his career.

I understand your first point, but it's kind of ironic if it's what PK was trying to do when it was basically the complete opposite of what Weber represented as a captain

I think he tried to be portrayed as Weber , but Weber is much more matured so Subban may have tried to use other ways to impress

Also , Preds have a much deeper defense core than the Habs, sliding down the depth chart is also not a fun thing for him

The 3rd rounder they get for him will not be an example of good asset management

Draft in less and a month.

Picking 16th I really don't know what to expect from the Habs...

For anybody who likes doing it, capfriendly appears tk have updated all the teams situations as if it's next year (20-21) as compared to still (19-20). Makes the iff season numbers a lot easier

Knowing you, you probably expect half the team to be traded before the draft...

Nope.... mentioning all players that could be dealt in separate trade proposals doesn't mean one expects all to be traded! The team probably has a list of 12-15 assets they could make available, doesn't mean they intend on trading them all

Assuming they won't do Dunn, what do you think of Perron to help St. L get under the cap. Two more years at $4m seems like a great steal. PQ boy so should make that segment happy, plays physical, shows up in the playoffs and can score 20+ most years.

Yes, it's that slow a work day

Don't know where the Domi for Saad trade started, but Saad has 1 year left on his contract before becoming UFA...Habs would be really (frank)ing dumb to trade Domi (RFA) for him.
