Cirelli would be a nice player to have, give them Gaudette and Virtanen plus a high pick next year, for Cirelli and Cernak
- Reubenkincade

That would be a master stroke of genius if that happened. 3 high C’s & a big RHD for Hughes & Rathbone.

I could definitely see him wanting a lot more than that.
- canucksfan1944

I think anywhere around 6 mil is probably fair. Anything north of that is going to require some league hardware like a Vezina or Stanley Cup win attached to it.

Jim didn't talk about Tanev at all but he did mention Chatfield. Tanev has averaged 50 games a year so they might go in a different direction.
- VANTEL

Agree unless Tanev signs a hometown deal.

Armchair GM's will be pissed...cap only really affects the Canucks. Not the 30 other teams. Oh well lol
- LordHumungous

😂

I was listening to the SN panel discussing The Flyers . Asking what do you do with Voracek and Giroux's contract. I didn't realize they only had 9 mil in Cap Space and 15 players signed. I thought they were suppose to be well managed . Where's Bruce?
- VANTEL

Where’s Hefty? 😂

For Marky, 5×5 would be perfect.

I’d like to see some shutouts .... I think Marky is in for a big surprise if he goes FA ... I wouldn’t give him more than 3 yrs ... he can walk now ... this team is 2, 3 yrs from contending enough time for Demko to grow ... don’t need a $5.5 to 6 mill goalie

Going off Reubys great trade idea...

Miller Petey Boeser
Pearson Bo Toffoli
Hoglander Cirelli MacEwen
Motte Beagle Roussel

Hughes Tanev
Edler Myers
OJ Cernak
Rathbone/Benn

Marky
Demko

Sutter/JV/Gaudette traded
Ferland retires on LTIR
PodK comes May 1st

Some cap gymnastics needed aka home town covid contracts to vets.

- Nighthawk

I am fine with moving on from Roussel. Opens up a spot for Lind, Bailey, Michaelis, or Leivo.

I can live with that. Forgot about Leivo 👍

I want a draft pick included for that TO deal if it's legit. Andersen is done in TO, they're shopping for goalies anyways. Giving them Tanev and Marky's rights for one year of Andersen is a garbage deal as far as i'm concerned unless neither player is willing to sign here for a reasonable price.

Either would be nice .

What you're saying is in 2-3 years Demko might be able to build on that 3 game thing he had going when the games mattered. Great.

In the meantime you pay the guy whose proven he can get you there. The money is worth the experience he brought our team this year alone.

Yes. It's chippy and they look out of sorts defensively.

I thought Vegas was the better team so should be a fun series. I am giving the wife a break so she doesn't have hockey every single night.

Vegas is getting behind their D and some wide open guys in around the Dallas net. They also rediscovered the aerial flip pass over the neutral zone. Lots of chirping and hitting.

Honestly it makes me feel good about the Canucks. I seen the same series as everyone and know how good that team is but Canucks have beaten them 4 times in the last 8 games.

Green said they knew Vegas were a good possession team but it was the teams strategy to give them the outside shot and take away the rebounds and in close scoring chances.

Yeah. They gained some experience and matured a bit mentally. Our key guys just need to grow and fill out physically. You can see the difference in every team in the final 4. No scrawny guys.

I am not sure if you listened to the Zoom conference call but this is going to be a busy week and busy month.

He said he has already been talking to GMs about moving players . They have one month to get picks , sign the players they want and then Free Agency is Oct 7 or 8

He sounded pretty confident about things.

No didn't hear it. But yeah, it seems like the GMs want to get stuff done fast. The ones on the outside looking in have an advantage right now being able to make deals and move on with business.
