Sadly, I don't think any Flyer would attempt that shot that McDonagh took. They would have tried another pass.
Its depressing to watch how easy Tampa exits their own zone. Failed clears killed the Flyers more than any other aspect of their game, even the PP.

Does anyone see frost Farabee or the 1st rd pick being moved? - login

I did a look last year of the history of the previous 2 seasons playoff status of those who win the cup. Often it takes multiple defeats for the same core to reach the finals. - NC Flyers Fan
Our resident expert says were not anywhere close, so we should just be resigned to the fact that it's not going to happen any time within the next four years. This is despite the fact that they were within one game 7 win of reaching the conference finals with most of the team playing like crap.

I wonder if middle of the 1st picks will have less value this year, than in years past.
Teams didnt get as long a look at prospects.
Prospects lost development time.
Where are your prospects playing next year?
I imagine we all know where LaFreniere is playing, but what of the guys below him?

In hockey I’d say yes. Everything else that is a definite no. |

I’ve heard, and I disagree with him. The playoff experience was invaluable. We won a round. Painful losing that way, but it’s still worth the lessons.

I think then Frost and Farabee aren’t really up for discussion....but the 1rst rounder ? Maybe...I still remember when the Flyers dealt Justin Williams...to me that would be like moving a young guy like Farabee....a mistake. |

It’s a weird, uncertain year for sure, but I still think you draft the guys you like and then figure out a plan for them. There is good talent late in that first round, I think they keep that pick.

Oh ok. I don’t see anything major happening. Especially with a flat cap and the Flyers already against. |

I would love Nylander but the fact is the cost isnt going to make sense for us.
Leafs may ask for Provorov which is end of conversation and even if they take someone like Sanheim or Myers who is playing their minutes? If a prospect was ready to make the jump its a bit of a different story but I dont see that as of now.
The only way it fits for us is if they take a defensive prospect that isnt currently on the roster. I dont know if that is something the Leafs are considering as they are trying to win now. Not only that Nylander leaves a huge hole in the Leafs lineup that already lacks secondary and depth scoring.
A Marner for Voracek+ deal would probably make more sense for both teams. That gives them extra space they need and they get a similar player and some extra. Still a bit of a stretch though. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
Marner is young. Voracek is old. Marner is above a point a game player. Voracek is a lot less than that. |

Teams are going to be juggling with the expansion draft. And I honestly think some sort of move is made to address the PP. |
