What scares me is the same thing that sacred me before this season. Does the mandate from upper management still hold true? Look at where were at. The same place they were under Holmgren year after year with that approach. Not good enough. Despite the spending and putting the team up against the cap, they're still going to have to wait for the young players. I believe that Hextall signed JVR to try and appease management and hold them off. Right now it looks like a bad deal. They have more dead cap money because they had to have Braun. Hayes was a good deal and Niskanen a good trade. Lets stay away from the UFA market and let the team develop.

I personally have very little interest in Nylander. And I don’t think Myers is going anywhere right now unless the return is just too good to pass up.

You've drastically overvalued Nylander in my opinion.

You can't play the biggest game the franchise has seen in a decade and come out and look like a beer league team. The effort last night was a flat out disgrace.

I don't think anyone has said the coach is inept, or the franchise is a laughing stock.

Couturier tried to play on one leg last night. Those are the actions of a leader. Lindblom getting in two games is heroic and inspirational. Hart was tremendous in the playoffs, and Hayes was very good. There are some things to build on for next year.

That said, the future is bright crap is old, I'm sick of hearing it. Until this franchise breaks through and delivers a Cup, it's just hot air.

Too much $$ tied up in “meh” players: JVR ($7M), Hayes ($7M+), Konecny ($5M+), Giroux ($9M), Voracek ($8M+)

Hart appears to be solid, and I like a couple of the young d-men, but they’ll need to dump a lot of this garbage salary if they want to acquire some impact players

The JVR contract might be worst in the league. I can’t even imagine how much you’d have to attach to that contract in a trade, to entice someone to take it
