They'd probably also want more.

they’ll need the cap hit to reach the floor. JVR had 19-21-40 this year, he can still produce.

Not sure they will be doing teams any favors, not without something else added. Sanheim would be a more realistic option.

Oh I’m sure a prospect will be involved, just like what Vegas did. Sanheim is not realistic lol, it’ll be a highend prospect.

Have you listened to Dhaliwal ? He gives some updates on the spot on TSN

Someone needs to grab Benning and convince him to let Toffoli and Markstrom walk....for the love of God

Trade his rights if he wants more than 4 years and 5.5-6 million. Rather have a 4th or 5th rd pick than him sign at 7x5 or lose him to free-agency

Doubt it, Cam York, Bobby Brink, Jay O’Brien or maybe even Gostisbehere.

According to Rick they are not really close. Doesn't sound like Benning is budging on his offer to Marky. I have to admit I am okay with that.

I like them both, but Toffoli is slow and Markstrom is going to cost to much for to long.

Sounds like they want a decision from the Ferland camp too. I think Benning doesn't want to piss around with are you okay are you not okay.

I think they need to hit a bit of a reset button now that they’ve drafted a good young core, continue to draft and develop, let some contracts expire, plan to be competitive in three years.

Toffoli is way too slow, he would end up being Voracek lite. Don’t go there!

Makes sense, can't keep having a player willing to ruin his life for a hockey game, nor can they move forward if they don't know if his caphit may not be available.

I didn't consider any of them to be high-end and Ghost would just be another cap dump.

Guys like Sutter were brought in to shelter Bo when Hank left . They probably figured a three to four year curve for Bo to take over as the main guy. Who the hell would have ever guessed they would never miss the Sedins ?

Petey was an absolute present he really took things and made us competitive. To me this is a good thing , you can get rid of Sutter one year early if you want.

I have no issue with trading Roussel for a sevent round pick and bringing in Hoglander or Lind. IMO these are all good issues.

Rather see Lind get a shot up there.

To be politically correct on my wording , they are saying the right things but behind closed doors Benning is pulling out his blackened hair saying Make a God Damn Decision.

It’s not that easy though, no one wants either Sutter or Roussel at their cap hits, they’d have to eat a lot of salary on the Canucks side.

If he earns it, sure. I don’t see him as a top six forward though when he’s had one just ok season in the AHL.

I am okay losing Markstrom, Ferland, Toffoli, Gaudette,Virtanen, Stecher, Fat Burger, Pearson, Sutter, Beagle, Roussel if they are either upgraded or some younger players are given an opportunity.
I believe Tanev would be the hardest Free-agent to replace

I see him as a perfect t fit with either of the top 2 lines.
Also, I don't let the AHL stats concern me much, the Comets don't have any centres, so they play wingers in that position, regularly.
