In my opinion, this game will come down to goaltending. If the Isles get strong goaltending, they will win this game.

i think you guys should bring back michael leighton for a game just to make it fair.

I didn't stop to think about that. Poor NoPa has to be depressed a little to deal with that. I hope he gets healthy and can make a come back next season. He was supposed to be our future #1 or #2 center

There’s still time. He could be.

Saw that the masterton award will be announced monday. Would you say Lindblom is a lock after playing game 6? I remember some were saying he’d be a better candidate for next year when he returned. At that time it didn’t seem that likely he’d play in the bubble.

Hopefully NoPa is next years candidate for a greet come back year

I think that is a good bet. Unless voting recently took place.

Let's manifest it and say that he will return to top form and have a dominant break out season next season.
Go NoPa
And

Let's go Flyers!

I say small lengths because he has never done this consistently. Coots has also only been gone 1 and a half games approx. That is a small length of time. Not too long ago Laughton was a healthy scratch if Im not mistaken. He isnt a guy who can play in the top 6 long term.

It isnt a reverse Jinx.
I cant name 1 game in this series where the Flyers were the better team. They just look gassed which is crazy when they have only played 15 games with absolutely no travel

- xShoot4WarAmpsx

He was playing on the 2nd line for many games at the end of the regular season, and the round robin. Where you been?

My reverse jinx. The 4-2 prediction that worked last game.

I expect them to come out flat and get dominated all game. Losing 6-2. I've just come to expect philly teams to do poorly when you expect them to win. When you dont expect much from them they win the super bowl.

I dunno why you say small lengths. He looks like a legit top 6 guy now. I am especially impressed by how he picked up the gauntlet thrown to him by AV.

Regarding today's game, I am superstitious about reversing the reverse jinx, and am already feeling nervous. But I think of game 5, and like then, we have last change. The key to me is neutralizing Barzal like that game. Without Barzal, that first line is ordinary. I will take my chances with Brock Nelson and Pageau and Clutterbuck.

And the key to Barzal is the Couts match up. I am praying Couts is playing.

- PT21

You're greatly discounting the play of Lee and Eberle. Lee has been great in this series and his dominance around the net is a key for the Isles.

What about Josh Bailey, who leads their team in playoff scoring and is 3rd in the league in playoff assists. Lee and Pageau lead their team in goals scored. Barzal gets a lot of press because he is flashy but he is far from the only good player offensively for the Isles.

Will be really interesting to see who Trotz goes with in net. In general I feel Varlamov is better but he seems off the last few games.
- hereticpride

I expect Greiss tbh. Trotz says there are lineup changes for tonight and o expect that’s the main one.

He played with Hayes and TK I believe in the Round Robin, Two teams who struggled heavily after the return to play. Played Well. Disappeared VS MTL now showed up for the last 2 games of this series.

He cant play a full season on the 2nd line and produce like a 2nd line player.

Scott has gotten better each year. I think there were false expectations at first and not a lot of depth. After he returned he has improved each year. Since paired with Hayes he has been great on wing. And is showing he can move up and down the lineup. Great competitor.

Did he not play most of our run before the lockdown on the Hayes line when it was producing? Your impression of him seems a little dated, like 2019 or before.

I do not see a bottom 6 player anymore.

Not saying they are schlubs. Just that he may be more important than Greiss, who I strongly suspect will play, for our cause.

If his line mates are Hayes and tk next year I agree. He was on pace to score 25 goals this year. While it will be interesting to see t he lines with lindblom next season. I think we can start to expect 20 goals from Scotty.
