Yes, the Isles were embarrassed by the Canes last year in the 2nd-round. You can tell that they really learned their lessons from that series.

Always stings but I said the ceiling for this year was winning two series. That would have been great. No way we’d have beaten Tampa. Could you imagine trying to win that with a non existent pp? Good luck.

I still like most of the core. I kind of expect that no pa can’t be counted in the teams plans but just hope he can eventually play. Got our tender but certainly have holes but I’d shake up the core if you can. Expose jvr and Jake for the expansion of we can. Not a bad run this playoffs though. I think soon we’ll surpass Pitt and wash in our div. Rangers are going to be great and soon.

There were a couple. I think we got crushed by them in 01 and then again in 2006. Forsberg got us two games in that series but then we got smoked. I think esche was our tender that year.

On a personal level, I'm glad that the players can go home and see their families. Between that and not being able to play in front of fans, it had to be really tough emotionally.

Yes, I’m disappointed. I’m sure they’re disappointed. The lack of offense is why they went down in the series, and it’s what finally finished them in 7.

Good point. Maybe they spend all their gas and checked out for game 7. The prospect of flying to Edmonton to face Tampa on one days rest must not have been appetizing.

If I remember correctly, he had the same injury in 2018 (then it was described as a tear which I assume is worse) and Hexy said it was the kind of injury that will not worsen if he plays. He just will have the pain and the impaired mobility but no danger of worsening.

I tore my MCL playing and it hurt like hell. Of course I Didn’t have NHL medical staff taking care of me. A couple of guys helped me off the ice. I took off my gear, hopped out to my car, drove home and went to sleep. The next morning I couldn’t lift my leg high enough to get into the shower. I was in a brace from thigh to ankle for weeks.

Yeah? I will be utterly delighted to be wrong.
