Much Benning, much self aware:
- NewYorkNuck

I know I spent maybe a little more money (on veterans) to help those young players learn how to play the right way. But once they learn the right way to play and get this playoff experience, they’re going to do the right things. They’re always going to score a lot of points in this league. But there’s a difference between putting up a lot of points and not having success as a team, and putting up maybe not as many points but doing the right things to win.”

Benning haters in shambles. Its funny how the human factor of what it takes for a TEAM to win is overlooked. Its mocked even because it can be ignored when trashing players on contracts and points. Good GM's know different.

Benning is the best GM this franchise has had, now just tune out the static from the haters.

It is always great to have two solid goalies but come on , the rise of Demko has been a few games. He was pretty bad when Markstrom went down the first time.

I am all for signing Markstrom but the price has to be in line. There is an abundance of good goalies this off season.

I'd try a one year, 8 million with full NMC. Get through expansion draft then 6X3

I doubt he goes for that, what if he get's injured next season and is no longer worth the 6m. Even with a gentlemans agreement, if he gets a bad injury, JB won't pay him 6 after for someone who can no longer play at that level.
Markstrom probably wants a 4-5 year deal in order to get his last payday before either retiring or taking smaller deals to be a back up.

Probably JB will stick to a clean lock up of Marky. But if they were slick sign a consulting contract of equal value. Only goes into effect if not resigned after 1yr term. Lock it up in agents safe and burn it if not used.

how badly do you want to stay in Vancouver? From everything I've heard he doesn't want to leave and it's 26 million over 4 year's. Is somebody else going to pay more?

How many OT's Stars v Avs will it take to postpone Canucks game?

Dallas? I think they're just a less good version of Vegas. Not as big or fast but similar personnel.

McKinnon is a beast and the Canucks don't really have an answer for him – though I don't think any team does.

It took 2 or was it 3 when NHL called a postponement last time and that game went to 5OTs.

The game was schedule to start at 8. Canucks game starts a 6. Will take A LOT for them to delay the game.
