While I do not expect next season to be 82 games long, likely something considerably shorter - 50-60 game range - I would still expect him to sit out at least 1 of 3 games (or more), regardless of what team gives him a contract.

50-60 games? oh I thought they were going for closer to 82 as possible.. but yeah sitting him out would be a good idea

Taylor Hall a Habs!

Dreger on TSN690: "I think Taylor Hall would be interested in the Montreal Canadiens, he likes playing in that environment...He's not afraid of the media and all of those things." #GoHabsGo

is Hall really aware of these "things"??

TBH, I have not heard anything about next year's schedule, but my assumption is that if they are not starting til Late November / early December, an 82 game schedule would be hard to complete (if they are trying to get back to their normal play schedule the season after next).

they're playing a full season next year. The only ones talking about a shortened season are fans.

the way I understood is it would possibly take a few years before the NHL comes back to a regular schedule, so the next seasons might finish later/start later as well. Surely we'll have more details once the playoffs are over

sadd would be ideal for the habs in actuality. more consistent. kills penalties. plays on any line. solid defensively.

i hope he stays in chicago. he is at worst the 2nd best forward defensively and the hawks need more forwards like him. not less.

one has to wonder though how he'll play through 82 games... what he did last year was great, but I doubt he's able to keep that pace, he ain't a spring chicken anymore
- Pat1993

Which is why he won't get 7 or 8 millions a year.

i think they are gonna have to in order to recoup some money from TV rights. Plus add in maybe being able to have fans at some point and it makes business sense to me.

nah. look at what kapanen got. saad is better.

the going price for a rental at TDL is a 1st and a prospect. doing it now would give the habs him for a full season to either re-sign him or move him at TDL themselves.

The 2nd may be a bit much but I don't think it is crazy unfair.
